This tory government has been in contempt of parliament and an array of underhanded tactics which has included putting party before country....for any of the snaggle-c unts to now consider the rules being played fairly to be something unusual then they should go and look up the rules.

Is it any wonder nothing gets done when they spend all day pontificating about " right honourable gentlemen " etc - cut the waffle out and you would be able to double the amount of " business" they could do in one sitting

How offended will you be then if/when the paid for friends of DUP line the amendments up?
By:

When: 21 Oct 19 16:37
i won't be offended at all, i said on the previous page what would happen. Being offended is not the same as calling the speaker exactly what he is, & predicting what he'd do before you even commented; including a shît load of amendments that he will pass

"The implication was that Brexit would be simple and that The EU would roll over and give us what we wanted"

What utter tosh? Who'd in their right mind think that? The UK have been a member for decades; 2nd largest economy in The Union; always been a net contributor 13.5% of EU budget.

Of course The EU will try their utmost to dissuade us from Brexiting eg drive a hard bargain, why? Mega annual net contribution; could signal an end to The EU; could cause friction amongst member states and citizens.

Bojo's 'Deal' was always going to be a rejig of Mrs May (even a half-wit could have predicted that) - anything else total bunkum. It does not even warrant a reply as it was so blooming obvious.

World recession or not the pitiful contribution from the new 13 member states ie £1tr out of a total $19tr was embarrassing indicating these new members were non-economic entities instead economic pariahs. They will take decades to be competitive and prosperous; blood suckers of our contributions, Germany and France. Mrs Merkel had asked for Germany's rebate in the next EU Budget citing the Brexit. I'd be extremely surprised Germans will continue to support or allow this misuse of their money in the next decade with little in return.

The year is 2219. The British Prime Minister visits Brussels to ask for an extension of the Brexit deadline. No one quite remembers where or how the tradition originated however, every year it attracts many tourists from all over the world.

Are we in the twilight zone here or what?
I’m arguing that politicians need to be more accountable and that democracy is only as good as the validity of the information given to the electorate....and you are saying it’s tosh to assume brexit would have been easy.
Well that’s exactly what the MPs did say, and a large portion of the brexit vote was manipulated into believing it.

The argument given to the people was that they need us more than we need them and as a result we would shape our own future from a stance of power.

My point now is that the ultimate deal (boris deal) is no good, and the likes of the ERG are buying into it simply because they have seen the potential for a no deal and worker deregulation in the near future.

I’ve said this all along, that gambling is easy when it’s with other people’s money/future. The people who have been trying to destabilise this country for a generation have money in the bank and fingers in pies....the idiots who have been swayed of recent times are shop floor workers or contractors or just any old working class jingoistic head case who have suffered austerity and think it can’t get any worse. Well it can, why? Because everything is stripped back and exists on a shoestring. All profit gets stripped at source until there is little or no buffer in time or money. These workers seem to think any gamble that results in a ‘win’ will benefit them....as though they have never heard of trickle down economics. It will only take a small bump for them to feel the full force while it would have to be an almighty gain for them to get even the slightest of lifestyle increases.

Ray Kurzweil described the ‘transcendence’....this is it now. Zero hour contract, Just About Managing, part time work and austerity, food banks etc were just the first wave. The quantum computer is practically a reality and machine learning is now everywhere, not to mention improvements in robotics. The workforce is f ucked, all the government needs is a roadmap to excuse employment and turn it into business capital only, that requires laws to change....

There are ofc nutters on both extremes of the brexit argument, but just look at the ‘average’ voter now and what they are saying.

They are criticising parliament for being too particular about the future of the country. The say things like ‘oh just get it done, agree the deal’
They haven’t even seen it nor has it been scrutinised or costed independently and they are saying that.

That’s the stupidity of people. Philosophy labels the human as a ‘social and rational creature’....wtf is rational about that?

Brexiteers for the most part, the ones saying democracy has failed are the sorts of people who would simply drive out a junction without looking simply because they had grown frustrated with sitting in traffic.

Spot on. Regardless of the fact that most expert analysis suggests that all forms of Brexit will leave us worse off, those for Brexit want the referendum vote implemented, regardless of the consequences. Brexiteers just dismiss all reason as project fear, so they don't have to consider it. Most can't tell us why they want Brexit.
The polls now suggest that the majority want to stay.

Its basically the boring "I tried to get a deal but they wouldn't do it" line

Basically the next election is another vote for leave or remain. This is going to go on for years if we don't do something.
