Re the Police's reaction to reporting af a real crime, I think they give you a crime number (like queing at the delicatessen counter in Morrisons).

When my Mondeo was vandalised I entered this number into the National Lottery and won £25.00.

It's easy to increase or decrease hate crime.

You simply alter the threshold where something is judged to be a hate crime.

Lower the bar and hate crime will increase, raise the bar and hate crime starts to fall.

Whatever the law says, you cannot force people to like -or dislike- anyone or anything, you can only stop them expressing it. Good luck with bottling peoples anger up for a generation or two.

Yes, I think George batted for the opposition, but with typical British discretion of course.

One always does doesn't one.  I love it -  people dare not challenge me on this- it is so funny.  It goes to show that any one,  who could be called a 'deviant'   these days, is rock solid and cannot be argued with.  Just 'SELF DECLARE' saddo and you are free from criticism and can say what you like in your defence etc.

I was on to a winner 30 years ago before all this trendy trans stuff but I didn't know it.

ps
had a fantastic day and night with 3 close friends and my partner.   Someone called whispering made a big faux pas by launching in to me assuming far to much re the 'partner'  it is so funny but he couldn't withdraw(there's a word) - couldn't swallow his mistake --  I  am rambling --  don't assume anything eh?   best of both worlds hint hint.

I was being driven one night in Leeds City centre a long time ago; the driver jumped a set of red lights. A copper on a motorbike came alongside and asked the driver "did you not have traffic lights where you came from?" We nearly killed ourselves laughing, but no racist connotation attached.

An other whilst again being driven in Chiswick, West London a non-white driver cut up in and my driver shouted, you b***k bastard - he was of the same ethnicity. But again no racist connotation attached.

There are different types of hate crimes, and I believe the present hate crime is mainly complexion and religion related, and not homophobic (hopefully). The former may be gradual but surely increasing dominance of a certain ethnic group full of themselves, and lacking-integration quality.

If they keep disrupting the transport system there will be more hate crime against Extinction Rebellion.
