The bears the bears --

it was used by the scarers as a poster (boy - read Bear) for their campaigns to panic people into backing their lying cause to put them ahead of the game and the rest on the back foot

constant scare mongering of the finsest

just like our latest lot - make it big and loud   just like extinction do  - they even admit it as a tactic and the mugs fall for it

the bears was a brilliant campaign but a huge lie

hope this helps

One starving bear is not evidence of climate change, despite gruesome photos," wrote Susan Crockford, a zoologist, on her website "Polar Bear Science."

It should be noted that in other countries with significant polar bear populations, including Norway and Russia, polar bear populations are increasing. On Norway's Svalbard Island, for instance, the Norwegian Polar Institute reported a 42% increase from 2004 to 2015. Russia also reports increases.

A far cry from mass starvation of polar bears due to global warming.

This is an old trick of the environmentalists, who long ago discovered that people care a lot about so-called "charismatic mega-fauna" like whales, polar bears, lions and the like. So as soon as they get their hands on a heartbreaking video like this one, they exploit it to its maximum potential.

Like everyone else, we felt sympathy for the stricken bear. But it's both dishonest and wrong to exploit a dying animal for your political cause — especially one that would involve a massive change in the global economy, increased poverty and thousands of human deaths just to reduce the Earth's temperature by a few thousandths of a degree.

Thanks for playing Moisok

I thought a question which most five year olds could answer correctly would cause problems on this forum.

Unfortunately Moisok, the answer is not Polar Bears. Hope this helps.

Try again only two answers left to choose.

1) Great Wall of China
2) Thermometer

Hope this helps.
Come on Moisok - you can do it.

This is how it works.  Shut up any one who questions

The Global Warming Thought Police Want Skeptics In 'Jail'

Conform or else. That's the message of the global warming alarmists. Those who don't buy into the man-made climate change narrative should be prosecuted as criminals.

"Put officials who reject science in jail," someone named Brad Johnson who says he's executive director of something called Climate Hawks Vote tweeted last month.

At roughly the same time, Mark Hertsgaard typed a screed in The Nation which ran under the headline:

"Climate Denialism Is Literally Killing Us: The victims of Hurricane Harvey have a murderer — and it's not the storm."

"How long," Hertsgaard asked, "before we hold the ultimate authors of such climate catastrophes accountable for the miseries they inflict?"

And then there's Bill Nye, the Junk Science Guy, who hasn't been able to cover up his apparent desire to see "criminal investigations" against those ignoring his truth. It's not hard to see through him, though. He dissembles like a politician but his appetite is clear.

The urge to prosecute and imprison those who don't believe as they have been commanded to is not a new wrinkle among the alarmist tribe. Three years ago, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., sounding like, well, a Kennedy, said the Koch brothers "should be in jail, I think they should be enjoying three hots and a cot at The Hague with all the other war criminals."

Is global warming going to affect us during our lifetimes? If not, why are we worried? Is it the carbon tax?
By:

When: 14 Oct 19 21:26
No terry. The question was whats a themrmometer used for. Before that the question was which recording device measures temp. Before that I also asked a question.
By:

When: 14 Oct 19 21:27
My question was, how does the world population being reduced to half a million affect the climate. For someone like you who firmly believes billions will die in the next 5 years, have you considered the implications of all that on the climate?

Yes that really touches my heart MoisockBlush  those hungry Polar Bears..I fall for it

The truth is the government want everybody to believe in climate change

They will not discourage our children believing this, and are never going to be too hard on the extinction rebels

Mexico - about thermometers.

Watch this video in full - it is not long, under 15 mins. Then come back and explain the anomolies the video exposes. Thanks.

A five year old could answer my question in under 5 seconds yet you can't.
Instead you claim a 15 minute loon-tube video is "about thermometer "

Shab - if you don't have the ability of a five year old to answer a simple science question then why should anybody follow your viewing recommendations?

Post the transcrip of the video with references to where the data comes from & I can scim through it quickly.

BTW Shab - would you use a Polar bear or a thermometer to measure temperature?

Terry

It is you who claimed the polar bear population is increasing- yet failed to provide a link to the data.

Were you telling lies Terry?
Maybe something has changed about hunting Polar bears????

Do you know what a thermometer is used to measure Terry. You could ask a 5 year old if you don't know.

Mexico - I would use a thermometer to measure temperature.

But I would then not use odgy modifications to make the data fit the narrative. Watch the video, it has the NASA temperature chart, and compares it to news reports from the time. The NASA chart has glaciers melting at low temperatures, and re-freezing at high temperatures.

The figures have been manipulated.

Methane gas is far denser than co2 with over 7 billion people no the planet that a lot of farty @rses pumping out untold amounts of methane gas per day,we are basically wasting our time trying to make lifestyle choices that reduces co2 when the only answer to the problem is massive population reduction

By:

When: 14 Oct 19 22:04
Probably not a lot the human population has trebled in less than 50 years times this with destruction of the natural environment and it's obvious the only way forward is population reduction, here in the West thanks to the pill traditional Western population has fallen unfortunately the general population has increased due to reckless immigration
By:
detraveller
When: 14 Oct 19 22:13
Terry's claim reduces the population to half a million. I just checked when the world population was that low. Turns out in 10000BC it was around 4 million. That's the farthest I could go. I'm convinced such a low population(equivalent of the population of Nuremberg) will mess up with the climate of the planet.

There seems to be total indecision over this

One thing we know, is that we are burning a lot fossil fuels which put CO2 into our atmosphere

This is what governments want to discourage(excepting China).

But whether this will affect the climate of the Earth long term, nobody knows for certain either.

There seem to be a lot of fears, but at the moment, not enough facts

I think we should build more renewables, and on land, not just out at sea.

(I regard peoples house prices and views immaterial)

Once they are built, the sun and the wind are free, they would only require maintenance costs.

The cheapest non carbon fuel is Nuclear...but this spews out poison...and when one takes into account all the cleanup costs

after they are decommissioned is it that cheap.

We could continue to use Carbon fuels and trap it before it gets into the atmosphere, but the problem what do we do with it than

I would hate to be called a liar

'they are paying protesters to attend'

You have not bothered to explain who you mean by "they" , so pretty much impossible to know if you are telling the truth or lies

"They are paying protesters to attend"

Meanwhile an easy question which a 5 year old can answer....
What is a thermometer used to measure?
By:
Mexico
When: 15 Oct 19 21:21
Shab

Glad you managed to understand that a thermometer is a better recording device to measure temperature rather than a Polar bear.

I didn't see the transcrip of that 15 loon-tube video.

There can be some very good reasons why raw data can't be used - in some circumstances it would be totally wrong to use raw data.

For example- if a thermometer needs to be moved (I.e. Building over the field where thermometer currently lives) then shouldn't we calibrate the new site .

If we set up a new site (while still have the old site) & discover the new thermometer gives a reading 2% warmer than historic site.
Should we use raw data even though we know it represents an artificial 2% rise.
