I just saw this story yesterday and unless you delve into the detail and if you guys here say it is 20 years ago, fair enough, but most of us would think it was a very recent event. With the Arcuri story which the media most likely knew about since it all occured, coming out now as well. Obviously, it is a get Boris strategy. I wonder if they have more mud to sling?

That said, both POTUS and the no 10 inhabitant do appear to have the morals of an alley cat. These days though most people seem to disregard that behaviour and don't see it as a reason to view their politicals actions.

Ask Rupert Murdoch if he has more mud to sling, the stories are being published in one of his newspapers.

Whilst doing that, cast your mind back to the Brexit campaign and try and remember what side of the debate he was on and what side of the debate another of his daily newspapers (The Sun) takes a very vociferous opinion on via its front pages.

If the allegations are subsequently proven to be true, what do you think what we the appropriate actions?

Downing Street has been forced to deny allegations Boris Johnson groped a female journalist as a storm of outrage threatened to overshadow the party's annual conference.

Charlotte Edwardes, a senior journalist, accused the prime minister of squeezing her thigh during a private lunch while he was editor at the Spectator magazine in 1999.

Cabinet minister Matt Hancock provoked fury from senior female MPs when he initially sought to defend Mr Johnson by arguing the alleged incident at the magazine's old headquarters in London was a "private" matter.

Amid a growing backlash, the health secretary rowed back from his comments, telling Channel 4: “I know Charlotte well and I entirely trust what she has to say”.

But Ms Edwardes stood by her claims, tweeting: "If the prime minister doesn’t recollect the incident then clearly I have a better memory than he does."

Clearly, one of them is lying.
Which one is it?

Who is slinging the mud?

Rupert Murdoch is slinging the mud, both stories originated in The Sunday Times.
Sure as eggs are eggs, there will be another story next Sunday.

The public don't care about the abuse and misuse of public funds?
Are you sure about that?

So you don't think that the public care about how the Prime Minister conducted himself twenty years ago?
They don't care that there is a clear trail of repeated bad behaviours in the years subsequent to that allegation?

They public are quite happy to have a Pm who has no moral compass.
Are you sure about that?

Papers going crazy over Brexit stories...BBC now put lots of money into a Brexit podcast.

The media can't afford for Brexit to actually go ahead and kill the cash cow so they are going after Boris.

I didn't say he was married to her then but he is now,and he,s obviously giving his blessing for this to come out,so cant stand by ,interviewing people on a daily basis who are calling his wife a liar, Johnson, javed,IDS,no 10,up to now
By:

When: 30 Sep 19 11:25
i haven't heard anyone call her a liar? I haven't heard anyone else support her 'claims' either, but no doubt we will. If she wants to make it official instead of political mischief; then i'm sure she knows where her local plod station is. Her being a journo and all
By:

if you go on tv and say you believe Johnson, as javed,IDS  have done your calling her a liar by implication or are you saying their both telling the truth

I'm racking my brains to think of someone, anyone! who either has enough money to settle out of court or who I dislike enough and want to ruin him/her by accusing them of something terrible (OOOH missus he squezzed my thigh) that happened 20 years ago without providing any proof.

She claims to have a better memory than Boris yet remembers  precisly at this time, but forgot it for 19 years, surely she would have been 'prompted' to remember when Boris was standing in front of his 'battle bus' that was high profile enough.
By:
Baphornet

well this is what happens when one person says something happened & the other denies it; no proof leads to no case to answer. She had already called the British PM a liar (by implication) by saying she has a "better memory than him"

we have heard recently about just how great our justice system is; yet slanderous comments can be used willy nilly without any regress on political programmes. That needs to change; but it will take a massive legal action by someone with the balls/mary to do it
