So does my workvan Cry Yeah, don't bin 'em EC.  If not eBay, charity shop's the way to get rid … having gone through them all first to pick out any "specials", imo.

Specials? How would I know?
Report trilby22 August 27, 2019 3:56 PM BST
You know, particularly good 'uns or old favs.
Report RacingCert August 27, 2019 3:57 PM BST
I thought they were all good when I bought them.
No player to check quality on.
Do charity shops take them?
Report trilby22 August 27, 2019 4:01 PM BST
They will if you leave 'em by their front door in a binliner overnight Grin
Report trilby22 August 27, 2019 4:02 PM BST
OR, you could buy a cassette player from a charity shop Excited

Some old cassettes can be worth thousands to collectors.

If you have any of these, remember and send me my commission for pointing you in the right direction.

Have 2 cars my older one is a Mk2 Golf with a cassette player in it, was going to change it for a more modern CD/Radio player but apparently original is best for when i come to flog it, so still have a fair few tapes which i only get to play in that car.
Report stewarts rise August 27, 2019 6:31 PM BST
If you have any on that list i'd feel sorry for you, most only on there because of the foul language in titles i'd imagine, with the exception of Kylie and Madonna that is!
Report RacingCert August 27, 2019 6:42 PM BST
Yes. An interesting list.
Do have a Madonna one though.

Have you considered freecycle, someone local to you may have a use for them.
Report themightymac August 27, 2019 6:47 PM BST
Before you bin them Racing (Or give them to Trilby or StewartsGrin) search them on Ebay and it will give you an idea what they are worth.

If none valuable, throw in a Walkman (If you have one) and sell the lot as a job lot. Seen similar Auctions reaching over £50. Depending on the Tapes of course.

I remember when they first came out - I thought technology couldn't go any further. LaughLaugh

For the real experience you have to go back to "8 Track"....

There was something special about "Double Tracking" which, like the fading on "Radio Caroline", wouldn't be the same without!

Back in the day, I was THE MAN for putting together compilation tapes, everybody invited me to their parties on the condition that I brought some with me.
I'd usually have a theme for each tape, the tape title providing a subtle clue to the musically knowledgeable.

You can play your cassette tapes on your computer with a USB link, or even download them to your hard disc.

£12 on Ebay.

Haven't read the thread, to be honest, but if you have the time I'd suggest putting the titles on eBay to see what they're worth. You could be surprised.
