your conscious mind makes the decisions and the sub conscious gives all the data about the decision being a good decision or a bad decision based on past experiences .
but if you command your brain to do something it will do everything in its power to do it.(if it is a command)
Now, suppose i tell my brain that i intend to donate it(my brain) for medical research when we(me and my brain)die.and i command it to do so.
My brain says" no fecking way are you donating me for medical research"
so the brain must think more of itself than it does of the complete me.Laugh

Whoever governs my thought...I just wish they were a better judge...I might start winning instead of losing..oh well

Yes our brains are quite complex, you raise a question brassneck

Our brain does react to external stimulus or situations of course, probably learns this

Don't stick our hand on a hot hotplate...it will burn us, etc

We develop habits of behaviour which we are taught from children, these habits at times govern us

A very deep and complex subject the human mind

now lets talk schizophrenia.this is a disease that a person develops and ends up thinking they are more than one person.
it very common with people who use nom de plume or more than one username on a social media forum.
the disease develops slowly and over years can not be returned to a state on normality and the person ends up thinking he is different people in one body.it has been recorded that some guy who was  on a chat forum every day for 10 years using different names ended up believing he was 102 different guys in his body.but amazingly he (102 characters) has the same sub conscious advice when in a trance.(hypnotic state)when tests were done.
and at times some of the characters spoke to each other.Laugh

hi uble.i think that is a guy commanded his brain to this it just might happen.
"at the hour of my death i want you to bring me to a state of mind that i believe is heaven,i want heaven to be  exactly the way i want it to be.
i will expect to meet all my friends who have died before me,and i want it to be the most peaceful and most beautiful place i even imagined"
now this is a sort of self hypnosis but what has a guy got to lose doing it.LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

my reason for thinking this is  because medical  scientists have proved that the brain just follows commands and does not realize what is real and what is unreal,so it might just put you in a trance and you end up in heaven(dream or whatever)just before you dieCool

Believe it or not some expert has proposed a theory that universal consciousness has been around for over 14 billion years"so what you may say" but the big trick in this theory is that scientists can not work out the maths to combine Albert Einstein's relativity with Quantum physics in order to agree on the big bang theory, however if they approve the theory on universal consciousness existing over 14 billion years ago and do away with Alberts space time, the maths can be worked out, this is serious stuff because it proves the existence of GOD under the universal consciousness theory, and it looks like they are likely to approve it.Shocked

Please, it's a very serious subject.Who are we,where do we come from, how do we have a conscience. How can we not control our thoughts. You have a brain but that is not your mind, they are separate.

There is no you to have a thought, nobody has ever in the history of mankind had a thought or ever will have a thought.  None of the above or what has been written here is relevant, you were never born and will never die.

Scientists haven't a clue!! There was no big bang and there are no such things as atoms, yes science is slowly heading towards a universal consciousness which is all you are. All you ever experience in your life is consciousness. You never EXPERIENCE an outside world directly.

A few blobs of transient jelly on a damp rock lost in the vastness of space consider themselves to be part of a "Universal Consciousness". You couldn't make it up (although they did).Crazy

There is no rock and there is no space, see I'm really fighting against it with these blobs of jelly! Put forward a half decent proposal and we can have a debate. Unfortunately you have no idea of what you are on about and are ultimately going to make those bodies look very silly indeed. LaughLaugh
