One thing I wonder is
When Humans come from a hot climate to a cooler climate...they have some physical advantage We can go to our own ancestors **** Sapiens who left Africa then become the dominant species of Humans over the Neanderthals who left Africa earlier.. |
By:
Mind you the are countries who are also hotter than us....but they do not have this advantage.
So that shoots my own theory down Or is it just living in Africa, very hostile climate for Humans, masses of diseases. |

not many black guys winning olympic medals in early years of olympics, and slavery
was long gone. That is to do with Cultural oppression and nothing to do with the topic on this thread. That all changed in 1932 when Eddie Tolan won gold in the 100m and 200m and then won the 75,100 and 220 yard races at the 1935 world Championships and that was it the proof of genetics took over until some juiced up Eastern Europeans got involved, even those that filled the places fit the genetic code. 1932 Los Angeles details Eddie Tolan (USA) Ralph Metcalfe (USA) Arthur Jonath (GER) 1936 Berlin details Jesse Owens (USA) Ralph Metcalfe (USA) Tinus Osendarp (NED) 1948 London details Harrison Dillard (USA) Barney Ewell (USA) Lloyd LaBeach (PAN) 1952 Helsinki details Lindy Remigino (USA) Herb McKenley (JAM) McDonald Bailey (GBR) 1956 Melbourne details Bobby Morrow (USA) Thane Baker (USA) Hector Hogan (AUS) 1960 Rome details Armin Hary (EUA) Dave Sime (USA) Peter Radford (GBR) 1964 Tokyo details Bob Hayes (USA) Enrique Figuerola (CUB) Harry Jerome (CAN) 1968 Mexico City details Jim Hines (USA) Lennox Miller (JAM) Charles Greene (USA) 1972 Munich details Valeriy Borzov (URS) Robert Taylor (USA) Lennox Miller (JAM) 1976 Montreal details Hasely Crawford (TRI) Don Quarrie (JAM) Valeriy Borzov (URS) 1980 Moscow details Allan Wells (GBR) Silvio Leonard (CUB) Petar Petrov (BUL) 1984 Los Angeles details Carl Lewis (USA) Sam Graddy (USA) Ben Johnson (CAN) 1988 Seoul[1][2] details Carl Lewis (USA) Linford Christie (GBR) Calvin Smith (USA) 1992 Barcelona details Linford Christie (GBR) Frankie Fredericks (NAM) Dennis Mitchell (USA) 1996 Atlanta details Donovan Bailey (CAN) Frankie Fredericks (NAM) Ato Boldon (TRI) 2000 Sydney details Maurice Greene (USA) Ato Boldon (TRI) Obadele Thompson (BAR) 2004 Athens details Justin Gatlin (USA) Francis Obikwelu (POR) Maurice Greene (USA) 2008 Beijing details Usain Bolt (JAM) Richard Thompson (TRI) Walter Dix (USA) 2012 London details Usain Bolt (JAM) Yohan Blake (JAM) Justin Gatlin (USA) 2016 Rio de Janeiro details Usain Bolt (JAM) Justin Gatlin (USA) Andre De Grasse (CAN) |

These ex Africans also have an advantage in THIS country. But we have never had slaves, well not working on plantations.
I doubt Michael Johnston. although I doubt my theories are any better ![]() |

REGY have you watched the documentary? It's worth a watch if you haven't.
By:
It’s interesting that perhaps Britain’s greatest athlete , middle distance anyway , seb Coe was mixed race wirh Anglo Indian blood
People forget just how naturally talented Coe was |
By:
another factor that wasn’t really mentioned in the documentary was the children born who were mixed race
Johnson went back to his childhood hero Jesse Owens , whose features appear to be mixed race So that wasn’t considered |
By:
I was surprised also there was no mention of this in Johnson’s own family ancestry , although they said his dna was seven eights African
By:
I found that surprising
By:
Don’t forget that white people had to survive the ice age and spent thousands of years of evolutionary history living through it , much tougher conditions and for greater length of time than even that on the plantations
Massive glaciers covered England and Europe etc |
By:
A world of ice and snow
By:
That might have a period of genetic development for survival too lfc, don't really know much about the ice age and what people were before and after.

the oppression still exists, but conditions for athletes in usa are better than in ghana and ivory coast.
mens distance running was also dominated by white athletes, but now by africans, of diverse ethnicity. |
By:
yhtl the opppression that existed was against all people of colour in all parts of society so opportunities weren't there think of the way the black boxers were treat in the early part of the 20th century.
Similar has happened with distance running when it became clear that a genetic advantage existed African countries were targeted for distance events too and would've dominated the same way earlier given the same opportunities as the sprinters. Can't compare conditions of Athletic Federations from USA compared to Ivory Coast and Ghana that's development based, those that are from those countries have the genetic tools but probably don't have the money to develop the talent but may do in time, countries like Trinidad and Namibia have produced good athletes in their time. A good example of the genetics coming to fruition once development caught up is Jamaica,as soon as the got better funded with decent coaches and good doctors they blew the sprint events away much like the USA had done in the past. |
By:
i know its development, and thats a huge flaw in johnsons theory....and my point.
i'm not dead against his theory, but it will probably not be prooved (for or against )by evidence until we are all long gone from this earth, and africans have the same chances and develop the same culture as exists in usa / caribean area. top athletes being streamed into footy in these places is hardly likely to improve these nations sprint teams... |
By:
yhtl there isn't a flaw in the genetic theory it's already been proven as the GENES of the athletes running in developed countries are similar to those people in Africa today developed or otherwise that's the point of the documentary,Johnson himself is 7/8 African which is a high %,the results since the 1930s don't lie and if there was no such thing as exogenous testosterone they'd be even more one sided.
The hormonal profile of all people from African descent are physically superior to non Africans that is fact they possess a hormonal advantage which is the explanation as to why (with the same coaching etc.) they are superior in these explosive sprint based events. The common denominator to all these athletes is their genes,we can forget drugs as they take the best naturals and get them on the gear to bring them up to Elite, there's been 0 elite clean sprinters since the 1960 olympics when a German guy won. Then in 1964 the US upped their doping game and Bob Hayes an American Football player went to another level even on those cinder tracks which changed after that making Hayes a true great albeit short lived due to lifestyle issues. Anyhow to cut a long story short you need African genetics, development and drugs to be an elite sprinter and the list of the fastest ever 100m sprints by time show the genetic proof and unequivically proves Johnson's theory, there is ONLY BLACK MEN ON THE TOP 25 RUNS OF ALL TIME and the 100m record progression bears this out too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100_metres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men%27s_100_metres_world_record_progression |
By:
it has not been proved, its a theory.
By:
Africa is also home to many wild animals some of whom will eat Humans..
If somebody is being chased by a Lion they definitely need a burst of explosive speed The slower ones would have been caught and eaten eons ago |
By:
Another thing these Africans have moved to different Western societies, which in a lot of ways are more competitive, forcing them
to exploit their natural attributes to survive, to do well. The USA is very competitive. |
By:
The very fastest ones would of been those what didn't get caught.
By:
Impeccable logic, the same reason John McCain is not classed as a war hero.
By:
It is a shame they do not have an Olympic Gold Medal for running the 100m carrying a TV. We could compete better with the Aemricans then!

my factual post removed for some reason, yet the racist bigot that is lfc1971 is still not banned.
By:
peckerdunne.
More relevant is why haven't you been banned for calling lfc a racist bigot? I was banned for a month after saying that another poster sounds like a racist, so why are you still here? Even your post which is a lot nastier than mine was is still there. |
By:
I'm entitled to my opinion, which based on his posts is true and correct. There is nothing nasty in my post.
By:
The fact remains that Betfair banned me for writing ''you sound like a racist to me.''
While you and others write the same stuff and nothing is done. The one my post was addressed to has since called someone on here a racist and the post remains, as does the poster. I wonder how the clerks at betfair would explain that? |

peckerdunne seems to be getting himself into a bit of a muddle , again
By:
You see it takes quite a cheek for someone to wait until their own racist posts have been deleted ( on this very thread if I recall ? perhaps another )
to then start to accuse someone else of racism |
By:
Don’t do that peckerdunne , it’s the worst kind of slimy behaviour
By:
Nothing here for you to report me for this time eh Charlie?
By:
And all the time he was denying that he ever reported anyone.

Poor old Charlie, all he can manage is a row of silly faces.
Not the sharpest tool in the box is our Charlie. |
By:
He's one of the good guys on here imo.
By:
Charlie hasn’t apologised yet for saying that women being burned alive on funeral pyres was
“ suicide and ‘probably’ should have been stopped “ How he has the gall to show his face after those repellent and horrifying views I don’t know He hasn’t apologised for them , little men don’t say sorry :( |
By:
Far and away the worst thing said by any poster on these forums , imo
By:
Not sure if Richie holds similar views or not
By:
No , I’m sure he couldn’t possibly , what sane person could ?
