I am not really in favour of the Police having vast stop and search powers but society is getting worse for ordinary people. There is now a class that operates below the Law. They seem untouchable. Should they go to prison they will be meeting up with their mates. These people are bloodsuckers destroying our society.

I believe many knife killings occur just after school ends for 2 or 3 hours. I think that would be a great time to stop and search people even kids for knives. I don't think it will solve the problem but it might give some comfort to parents who want their kids to come home from school safely.

You and me have more in common and these scum are enemies of us both! Black white brown musso's I don't care. I want scum off the street.

There are lots of things that would  reduce stabbings and other crimes by reducing the liberty of everyone.....

10PM curfew for everyone, except those with special permission from the government, to be enforced by the military with a shoot to kill policy.

There would be fewer murders, robberies etc. Are people in favour of that ? If not, are they in favour of murders and robberies ?

FWIW I do think we are too soft on criminals.

When you see the post trial reports on these gang murderers there is always a long list of previous convictions for violence and very little jail time had been served. If they were locked up for mugging etc they would not be on the streets to do the stabbings.

Anyone using a knife in a mugging, even if they don't stab anyone, should be charged with armed robbery the same as if they did it in a bank, so 7+ years sentence.

The prison capacity is too small but it costs a lot to expand it.

My issue with stop and search is that no one should be treated like a suspect unless they have done something to warrant it.

They should make public the racial stats for knifings,shootings,robberies etc. and if there are any patterns pertaining to targets/victims and use that information for a more thorough evidence based targeted stop and search system,instead of playing the fake race hate game if they GENUINELY want to stop those young kids killing eachother and running the streets.

This documentary is from years ago to prove they know what's been going on for years,how it's been developing and in my opinion the deliberate failures of the government to ensure it's continuation.

A 10 o clock curfew would not be of much benefit!

And the point is the Government does not know what i5 is doin* with law and order. It has cut 20,000 Police Officers!

It is doin* nothing to change the failed and out dated drug laws.

The moment any police stops you, you are treated as a suspect. This is a necessity. If they are searching you for a knife, in what world would they go about it with the assumption that you don't have it on you? They have to be ready to defend themselves. So you are treated as a criminal, until you show that you aren't armed.

I shared my own story a few months back where I was held on the street at night, arms above my head for about 10 min, because the police thought I was armed and won't come near me. When I complained to the police about it the next day, I was told this is normal as it has to be assumed that you are armed. This is why no one would come near me, until 6 backup guys had arrived.

So its a part of the process and the reason why stop and search cannot be popular. Boris is a temporary PM and it is quite possible they are implementing it to prove it won't work, as a result allowing the police to continue to be powerless in the long run.

I will also be surprised if any police officer is looking forward to being a part of this. You'd need balls of steel and military backup to try this in London.

Need a special Division  to deal with our Drug and Knifemen . Ex army the Job imo .
