The first time I went to Aldi in Gillingham, Kent near the railway station I got to the till and the cashier asked if I had ever been to an Aldi before so I said no. She then explained that everything once scanned had to be put staright into the trolley quickly, no bagging just chuck it in quickly.

I said ok I understand and then apologised for not wearing a tracksuit like all the other puntersWink

Some decent inexpensive wines at Aldi. Stellenbosch & the Project Sauv Blanc are two that I have enjoyed

LIDL often has good wine offers. In fact .. the countries premier wine journal pointed out cheap award winning wine just the other day:

Poundland is great. It's really useful how to make sure things can still be sold for a pound, they sell them in smaller sizes than you can get anywhere else.

It's where I buy my Durex.

Time is money and I don't like shopping.  It takes an hour door to door to do a food shop so the fewer the better.

I spoke to the doctors about my vision and will probably need eye drops as my eyes dry out and that's causing the dry aching

Nah not to worry, bap, I'm not easily offended Happy

Alternate between Aldi in Wetherby and Lidl in Knaresborough. Aldi good for fruit, veg ,fish , cleaning and washing products . Lidl good for the fresh bakery. Both have good offers depending on time of year for beach gear / gardening stuff/ski gear. Four cans of guinness for £4 that's cheaper than the other supermarkets.  I like the quick checkouts -no messing about -pack by the shelves.

Aldi seems to be full of brands that are very similar to well known products but with a slight name change

Fraudulent behaviour....surely !
