Paris is a wonderful city for walking in, relatively flat and relatively easy to navigate.

On a short stay, I would recommend the following walk:

Beat the crowds and head to the Arc de Triomphe at the top of the Champs Elysees. You can then climb the steps to the top and be rewarded with a surprisingly panoramic view including La Defense which has its own Grand Arche.

Once down, start strolling down the Champs Elysees until you reach Place de la Concorde.
From there, continue into the garden Jardin des Tuileries where a leisurely stroll will take you naturally to the glass pyramid within the grounds of Musee du Louvre.

Continuing along the banks of La Seine, you quickly arrive at Pont Neuf, known as the lovers bridge.
Start to walk across the bride and you find yourself on Ile de la Cite.
Remain on the island and continue following the river, and you’ll quickly find yourself at Notre Dame cathedral.

As helpfully pointed out, it is not at its best at the moment, but will surely still be worth seeing.

From there, you can take a bridge to another island, Ile Saint Louis where you can treat yourself to some ice-cream from Berthillon Glacier.
There will be a queue, it will be expensive, but it will taste magnificent.

From there, you need to decide which side of the river you will go to, Rive Droite, or Rive Gauche.

The right bank (droite) will take you back toward the heart of the city, whilst the left bank (gauche) will lead you towards the bohemian Saint Germain.

General tip when travelling.
Plan to do or see one major activity or event.

Don’t fall into the trap of over scheduling, leave time to randomly explore or investigate something that you stumbled across that tickles your fancy.

Montmartre Cemetery , St Sulpice Church , and possibly The Pompidou , are the 3 places I
plan to visit .

I'll only be takin about 200 euro's with me . I need to count my pennies .

The "Crazy Horse Saloon" is an absolute must for a night out in Paris.

Culvin, if you like art then the Musee d'Orsay is a must. I wouldn't bother with the Louvre unless you like to queue all day. Montmartre is very run down and scruffy now, keep your wits about you. There is or was recently)  a tent city under the Peripherique by the junction with the N1, an area best avoided.
I used to love Paris in the 1970s and I visited often, it saddens me to see what it has become. I haven't been for several years now and doubt I will ever go there again.

I went to the Crazy Horse in about 2003, the seats were uncomfortable, it was expensive but the birds stripped off. It also put Mrs Gravy in the mood(no mean feat) when we got back to the hotel, so worth the money.

Enjoy the garlic snails/ crusty bread and bowl of Cuisses de Grenouille à la Provençale with nice chilled glass of chablis.

She had my bottle of Champagne which I am sure helped. We were the 4 days and she got flashed 3 times by drunken tramps, must be a record!
