The drinking was self-medication to get you through a difficult situation.
The NHS should have given you some help. Did your Doctor know about your anxiety ? |
|
By:
Yes , I told my Doctor , he gave me a prescription for tablets and placed me on a long waiting list
to see a counsellor . I did eventually see a counsellor about 6 months later . I seen her for about 1 hour a week for 8 weeks . I thought about taking the tablets but because of my childhood memory of the damage I believe that type of medication did to my mother , I've always been extremely wary of ever taking anything of that nature . My Doctor gave me Prozac . I decided not to take them after reading about them on the internet . I threw them in the bin . |

Yes....I try and avoid most medicines also.....can give you big problems trying to come off them.

It's important to myself not to hold back , SlippyBlue . It's very helpful to be as completely honest as I can be .
I didn't intend to write what I wrote above , but nobody know's who I am here , so that's why I wrote it . I'm trying/attempting to give an important back story to why I made my journey to Paris . In actual real life , I've never ever told any one what my mother did to my brother , and apart from my Priest , a counsellor, and The Samaritans , I've not told anybody about myself being sexually abused when I was 11 years old . Just over 6 months ago on January 12th , I took confession at my Church , the last time I took confession it was over 30 years ago and I was a schoolboy . As I entered the confession booth and knelt down , The Priest asked me what sins did I have to confess . I said this , " Father , Something happened to me when I was a boy and my life has been one big lie ever since" , I then broke down sobbing. He asked me what happened and I told him . Incredibly , my Priest then told me that the same thing happened to himself when he was also the same age . When I left Church that day , I felt strengthened . Never again will I be afraid of my childhood monsters . |
|
By:
Culvin, the Priest should have told you to "Go to the Police"
You should if you feel tough enough, you will need some help ! |
|
By:
Religion is nonsense.....the Catholic church uses confession to get a heads-up on any trouble coming their way.
Did you tell him about Anderson? He will be warned if you did ! |
|
By:
No , I never mentioned any names to The Priest or to any one else
for that matter, when I've spoken about what happened to myself . I only mentioned Anderson's name simply as a quirky , interesting sidenote . I don't much care for him as a person that's why I called him , A Fat B . My parents knew him and his family long before he became mayor because they lived near each other in the same street . I could well be wrong in my assumption that he helped the person who abused me , find a very good job . |
|
By:
To go to The Police now would be completely pointless . It would be my
word against his . About him , I have no hatred anymore . I never give him/it , a single thought . If I happen to ever meet him again , I will feel like I'm A Lion meeting a mouse . |
|
By:
You could give his name to the Police anonymously and they could watch him to see if he was still up to no good.
Arrange a way the police could communicate with you if they found something .... somewhere online ? |
|
By:
Yes , I've actually thought about that . The last time I met him
was at my Mothers funeral 10 years ago . At one point , I overheard him telling a squalid little sexual joke to two female relatives . He is one of the most repulsive men you could ever meet . I'll tell you what I think I'll now do , Leopard . Either today or Monday , I'll go along to The Cop shop and I'll have a little word in their ear . I'll let you know what they say , it could be interesting . |
|
By:
Goodnight, Leo .

To go to The Police now would be completely pointless
Maybe someone else has already made similar allegations against him and it hasn't went anywhere because it was just their word against his and you going to the police will potentially corroborate his allegation. |
|
By:
Very shrewd , dude . That's exactly the reason why I'm going to have a little chitchat
with The Boys in Blue . I'll go to The Police Station on Monday . |

I'll now write about visiting Paris .
PART 3 . This exact time 7 days ago was ending just about the most difficult day of my life . On Friday morning at 8 , I went to catch the coach to France , which was due to leave Liverpool bus station at 9.15 . Normally the bus would take 30 mins or so to get to The bus station , but because of roadworks , etc' it took over an hour , I got to the bus station at 9.10 , had a quick smoke and then boarded the coach . It left 2 minutes later . The coach was due to arrive at Victoria bus station in 6 hours . For a combination of reasons ,at this point , I had not slept a wink for over 36 hours . My idea was to try and get some sleep on the 6 hour journey to London . It didn't happen ,the coach seat was really uncomfortable and because I was sitting next to a fellow passenger, a lady from Ghana , I was unable to get any real rest . About 2 hours into the journey we came to a stop on the M6 , that stop lasted 4 hours. A lorry which had caught fire was the cause of the delay . I was now faced with the prospect of arriving in London after being on a coach for 10 hours to then immediately board a coach to Paris which would then take 10 hours also , before arriving at it's destination , Berci, Paris . I was the last person to board the Paris bus from London and 5 mins later , it left the station . I had hoped to have 2 seats to myself this time but that didn't happen , and again during another long bus journey , I had no sleep at all . My fellow seat passenger this time was a young American from Chicago . I need a coffee . . . |
