lfc. You're full of nonsense (for want of a better word)

Oh, and the overwhelming vote thing (and I say this as someone who doesn't really care if we're in or out), it wasn't the overwhelming massive decision that was the will of the people ABOUT HALF (well, a fraction over [1.8%]) said they wanted to leave and ABOUT HALF (well, a fraction under [1.8%]) said they didn't.

All it's done is give journalists an easy living and create a divided society which suits the politicians.

Hardly anyone knew or knows now what the F they voted for anyway - whatever they say.

Look it’s very simple , Mays deal takes Britain out of the EU , the sm , the cu and stops freedom of movement
So stop blaming May , she has done her level best
Yes I don’t think no deal should have been taken out of the equation
But nevertheless her deal gets us out , they should vote for it

There is another one who doesn’t understand the simple truth
May has respected the referendum result and the British people , to her eternal credit

It’s like this , vote for Mays deal and we would be leaving the EU tonight

She could've left the EU two years ago if she really wanted to. She doesn't. She's a remainer that is just fxcking around until it all gets too hard and somehow Britain stays in the EU.

She is not the worst

The Tories chose her to take us out of EU...so they should support her...but don't seem to

She only need her own party and DEP...DUP are easy, no border down the middle of the Irish Sea, it has to be between North and South

Ireland

Apart from Nigel Farage who is no longer in parliament, nobody in parliament thinks we should leave the EU, do they?

"he's a remainer that is just fxcking around until it all gets too hard and somehow Britain stays in the EU."
For a while I thought that but I'm not sure now. I think she maybe does want her deal to be passed, but is a crap politician who is surrounded by other opportunist crap politicians who are as bad or worse. IT's hard to judge someone as worse when, if their deal was passed, they would achieve a form of Brexit - than a shower of opportunist w@nkers who just want a General Election out of it (Labour) or to break up the UK (the SNP). All the time trying to pretend they are acting in good faith, when they aren't.

The Libs are at least fairly consistent in their aims, disagree with them or not, I can to some extent respect that. Rven if it appears undemocratic given they supported the original referendum.

What's the point of having an EU deal where you still have to pay millions to the EU and you're not even (technically) in it? It's a bit like being pregnant. You either are or you aren't. I think that's how the people who voted for Brexit see it. Just leave. No matter the consequences it won't be the end of the world. Australia and NZ are looking forward to massive trade with the UK. Like we used to have before Britain shamefully betrayed former blood relations and joined the common market.

aus and NZ were/are obvious small fry compared to the economic benefits Europe brings to the UK, nothing personal.

this deal will give the eu the upperhand when we come to form a deal on trade, except what they want or we go into the backstop
By:
lfc1971
When: 29 Mar 19 14:02
No , the backstop gives the UK the upper hand if anything

Australia is the biggest exporter of natural resources in the world. But I take your point. Loads of EU countries contribute very little to the EU and Britain has to subsidise them. The two biggest economic nations in the world are outside the EU so it's possible the UK could trade with them?
By:

44% of trade is with the EU and trajectory has been down the last 2 decades.

Maybe that data and huge surplus they have with us explains why German companies seem to be annoyed at the hard line from the EU and Macron seems to like trying to apply anti UK nipple clamps..

May has been let down by Parliament , not the Tory party but the Labour Party and the liberals and the snp and the remainers

That’s where the blame lies in truth
