people who worked with her at the home office said she could never make her mind up about anything. odd to put yourself forward for leadership when you're so obviously not cut out for it although very few politicians have much self awareness and she did end winning pretty much by accident

She is absolutely the worst.

Censured for lying to Parliament.

Lied to her own party and lied to the British people.

Adopted a negotiating strategy to Brexit that the first one out on 'The Apprentice' might have considered a non-starter. Unable to articulate any kind of 'vision' for the country, just dull, plodding technocracy even when that technocracy leads her down cul-de-sacs.

She seems to now be earning grudging respect for her durability and at least owning the Brexit issue, but durability is a basic given of her job description, not a notweorthy virtue she alone possesses.

As poor as May is, she is a mere handicapper compared to the Group 1 winners Thatcher and Blair.

FFS "Cameron caused all of this". I'm sick of people saying that sort of thing, "this only happened because of the Tories", with the additional hypocricy being the SNP saying that when they constantly demand THEIR second referendum that the majority of Scotland don't want!

This HAPPPENED because more than 17 million people in the biggest ever vote this country has had voted for it to happen, despite the arrogant dismissive views of the remoaner class and the political "elite", most people in this country on balance wanted to leave the EU. Cameron campaigned agaisnt it, most of the media and the BBC/C4 etc were against it. The people wanted it, quite a feat.

"The majority of the voting electorate caused all of this" is the accurate description.

She contributed by voting for the Iraq war (unlike Corbyn)
She also voted to go to war in/invade Afghanastan, Syria and Libya. (unlike Corbyn)

She was right to vote that way, Corbyn was wrong
Saddam was a mass murderer and dictator just like Hitler

As regards her time as pm, it is to her eternal credit that she honoured and respected the British people and the referendum
A great pm

I don't quite remember Eden who may have been the worst in my lifetime, given that his colossal blunder concerned foreign affairs, which was supposed to be his speciality.
Hume was a joke but didn't last long and probably didn't do much harm.
Thatcher and Blair both did an awful lot of harm but both at their peak were obviously formidable politicians who were very successful at pushing their own agendas. Brown had certain unfortunate personality traits and had become a bit stranger still whilst Blair kept him waiting but his reputation is inextricably bound-up with the economic crash which started in the US not here.
Major wasn't the best but tbf he saw off his critics within the party.
May has been a disaster but she was handed a poisoned chalice by her predecessor who gets my vote.

Stand up DAVID CAMERON.

that alone is more than any labour pm has done or would ever do

They went to war on Iraq because they said they had weapons of mass destruction which wasn't proved then or after, and invading Iraq was a monumental disaster, it was obvious destablising that region as evil as Hussein was, was going to cause more harm than good.

I think we live in times where a person being not so bright is the criterion for him to become a politician. Probably the whole politicial scene in Europe and US is already fully controlled by a handful of individuals and they dont want someone smart to come up the ranks and ask questions. Sort of like you don't want a too smart soldier, or else he'll start asking questions instead of doing what he is told to do.

Moreover, I am not sure whats the point of calling her the worst ever? She's the fkin prime minister. How many have reached that post before her? SHe's got a pension and security for life. I would take that any day and be happily be called all the filth in the world. Same goes for Trump. The guy's the most powerful man in the world and still people are obsessed with how bad he's doing or how crazy he is.

lfc that post is gold.

You ask why they spent so long before and after the war looking for them? I think you answered your own question. They didn't find the weapons before the war. Because there werent any. Thats why they were also loking for them after the war Laugh

It's both fascinating and disturbing to watch how politicians both in the UK and Europe have gone to such great lengths to block the result of a referendum.
By:

When: 29 Mar 19 12:40
To me, its more disturbing to watch that people still haven't woken up to the reality that politicians dont work for them. There probably was a time when that was true, but that time has spoiled the adults of today into thinking just because they vote for them, the politicians need to listen. I've observed this a lot with the older generation.

That's that then, no need for any discussion.
Between you and lfc, all this is simple to explain and understand, and everyone else is clueless.

That’s true kamikaze , and it is facinating and disturbing to see people like Scandinavia and others who fail to give credit to pm May for doing her duty and respecting the vote and the British people
She is a great pm for that alone imo

When I said in 2016 that brexit won't happen, because Obama told people to not vote leave on the eve of the vote, people made fun of me. Some even said Britain is a sovereign nation. And that Obama doesn't run Britain. But the point was, if your biggest ally, an ally you have invaded countries for without thinking twice, says that something is not supposed to happen, then you need to listen.

As it has turned out, three years on, politicians are still working full time to reverse that referendum. And there are still people who think it will happen!
By:

And what Corbyn and labour and the liberals and the snp and remainers have done in trying to overturn that referendum , regardless of what happens now should never be forgiven or forgotten

The economic arguments against leaving are just a sham. Most EU nations are broke you guys are subsidising them by the billions. There's a whole world outside the EU including the world's two biggest economies in USA and China.

They just can't stand to see their dream of world government fall apart and will go to any lengths to prevent that.

As it happens, IMO!!!
She was a useless home secretary and is an even worse PM.
Unpopular with her own party, and it seems, everyone else, she shows no strength and seems to be led by poor advice.

And lfc. Despite your constant need for affirmation and an obsession with Corbyn that's nearly as big as Just Checking's, Corbyn is NOT to blame for the ongoing issues with brexit. May is PM, Cameron was PM before her... Neither of them and THEY were/are in charge. Not Corbyn.

Study here is a simple fact , if it was left to May and the Tory party
We would be leaving the EU , sm , cu and stopping freedom of movement
Tonight at 11 o’clock

Now Corbyn and the rest of the ***** can deceive all they like   , they are to blame

I don't think we're on the same page here lfc. I think May is absolutely doing her best to stop Brexit. The endless deals that go nowhere. She's just putting it off until it goes away or they have a second referendum. Just have more votes until they get the result they want. If May really wanted a Brexit then she'd say fxck it we're leaving - today -end of. But she doesn't want to leave. She just wants to play it out endlessly and say "I've tried my best.Sorry."
