Tony & Guy relocated to Dublin for tax purposes?

By:
all depends how much hair has to be coloured all salons vary.
seems a little above average but its not horrendous as long as dad pays for it hey who cares ![]() |

The way women "arrange" things down there these days, even if you get a good look you'd have no idea if the collar matches the cuffs of a woman with suspiciously coloured hair. I suppose that's progress!

£130, feck me these salons must be raking it in
By:
£130 just for starters, then there's the hard sell on 'products' needed to keep the barnet in pristine condition.
By:
Check the eyebrows, not the hair.
By:
As for the price, you charge what people are willing to pay. If he can get £130 then he'd be an idiot to charge less.

The willingness of women to spend more than men on any item is one of the marvels of economics. Pink items are sold for twice as much as identical blue ones in the same shop! I get an OAP hair cut for £6.

"The willingness of women to spend more than men on any item is one of the marvels of economics."
DIY companies should latch onto this. "Her cordless drill", in pink, that emits a lilly of the valley smell. I do wonder though, you sometimes see these horror stories of women who've had a bad allergic reation to a hair dye kit and they are supposed to do an allergy test the day before with just a little of it. How does that work at a salon, do women turn up for an allergy test beforehand, or just risk a horrible reaction? And if the salon ones are 100% allergy proof, why not use the same chemicals at home? |
By:
every salon must offer you an allergy test and if they do not alarm bells should ring loudly
even regular customers should have a test every six months if you are having colour applied 48 hrs before your appointment the test should be taken. Its usually applied with cotton bud on the arm it takes two seconds some salons even require parents to sign a consent form for younger clients |

quite a fair price 130

Conditor appreciate you agreed to pay for it but something doesnt sit comfortable if shes spending 20% of her monthly wage on an hair do.
By:
I completely agree with you Geoff ,the problem is me and her mother split 7 years ago .i only see or hear from my daughter about once a month if I’m lucky, and then it’s when she wants something..... she’s 17 and does what ever she wants .....so in a nutshell I’m being held to ransom.

by yourself and your perceived options based on emotions that are not true, she really wants some discipline and love, just say no occasionally and go for a coffee or walk in the park, she will hold you in higher esteem.

By:
Very good sir ,sounds great ,but in today’s world that doesn’t work... she lives with her head in a phone .living with a mother who thinks more about Botox than friends . People have been brainwashed looks , and fame .... I respect your comments..if only things were that easy

I`ve been doing some calculations and I haven`t spent £130 on a lifetimes haircuts.
... but if it brings some happiness for your daughter and some smiles, it`s £130 well spent. Good luck to her. |

By:
Cheers Conditor, your reply explains alot. The world has indeed gone nuts.Keep trying you will, and in years to come i hope she understands more clearly.
She is at that age and will mature, and perhaps be more you and less mum. All the very best with it. |

Have you considered that maybe her hair cut and colour only cost £50, and she has been flimping you for £80 every time she has a hair cut.
By:
Nebs, are you an arber by any chance?
By:
Maybe she will get a letter from Tony and Guy - traders decision that she can no longer use their cut and dry facilities - but is still welcome at the nail bar.
