I think children can begin to comprehend basic sex and lgbt education from a very young age. Often the opportunity will arise from their own curiosity; such as, "Mommy, where do I come from?" or "Mommy, why are those men holding hands?"

If we give sensible and frank answers to their questions, and don't pass on our prejudices and hang ups, they have the best chance of growing up to be well adjusted adults.
