Just bought a gross of loo rolls, but I'm afraid Tesco's wine shelves are already looking sadly depleted.

Mildly interesting link.
Here is what is thought to be the first use of the term 'Brexit'

.......This is not what people should expect from a Cameron-Clegg duumvirate. History has a habit of punishing drift. Usually the people, demanding firm leadership, fail to get it and become beguiled by easy options. Edward Grey and Neville Chamberlain may have brought war closer in 1914 in 1939 simply because Germany was utterly unclear about how Britain would jump in the event of a crisis. We are at that stage now. Unless a clear view is pushed that Britain must lead in Europe at the very least to achieve the completion of the single market then the portmanteau for Greek euro exit might be followed by another sad word, Brexit.

Talking of clocks and the EU I see they are talking about letting each country across the EU decide on whether to do daylight savings time or not.
Bit of a recipe for travel chaos surely? Missed flights connections and so on? And the chances of betfair (who always seem to struggle with it) getting the DST right if it's random across Europe after THAT, is about nill!

We all knew it would never happen, just a shame i lost thousands backing remain on the referendum and then not had to witness this charade.

Ever since it has been may's deal to not really leave or remain. Plain

The only way we will leave is the eu enforce article 50 on Friday. The rest is a charade leading upto another Ireland referendum or crappy mays stay.

The only way we won't leave if there is a 2nd referndum and we change the vote to remain

tbh, i reckon they are afraid of a 2nd referendum even with the propaganda over the last 3 years.

They are very worried that people can think without a tv.

I voted remain.  Personally I think it's a no brainer, although I'd appreciate a thorough published independent analysis on the economic pros and cons of immigration, and the effect EU membership has on it, to rubber stamp my view.

The EU led to greater equality and greater wealth, both of which I approve of.  Normally, you have to trade one off against the other.  I couldn't give a flying fook whether the EU or Whithall makes 15-50% of our laws.  So the only issue is how immigration effects us.

This might be some help...

https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/briefings/the-fiscal-impact-of-immigration-in-the-uk/

EU immigration shows a slight + / non EU a considerable deficit (120 billion - 17 years)

I too would like to know more about the impact of EU membership on those figures.

They wont let you leave, crisp

They are intent on demoralising everyone before voting through some awful "deal"

They will "extend" it for eternity if needs be
