But my understanding is that the target was four hours and hadn't been met for around five years. That you can have a target of four hours is bad enough but I guess it's irrelevant how far towards the 3rd world you descend with your targets - if you aren't going to meet them anyway. There are probably better ways to measure how low we have stooped. |

You shouldn't be going to A&E with high blood pressure. The problem is exacerbated by numpties turning up with non-emergency conditions. Recent years mass immigration hasn't helped either. |

Yeah it's a nightmare - I try to avoid it because of all them foreign doctors and nurses.
FFS - You ever been to A&E after 11pm? - it's wall to wall with drunks (they are all white) - mostly been fighting and stabbing each other. I know it doesn't fit with your agenda but the scene after 11pm is doctors from around the world treating drunken British white people. Police resources (decimated in numbers as they have been) are the same. Talk to some policemen, after 9pm pretty much everything they do is alcohol related - drunk white people behaving like savages. Again it doesn't fit you agenda but it's the reality. |

Here's a crazy idea - maybe we could reduce/abolish tuition fees for the professions that we need. Instead of studying (and getting into £40k+ debt) for a useless degree that will see them working in a call centre or delivering pizza, some of our young people might choose to study, science, engineering and medicine.
Or we could carry on importing people with the skills we lack from around the world (mostly from outside the EU)? Govt has always had control over immigration from outside the EU, why does that number keep growing iyo? You been to a university lately? - half the campus is foreign (mostly east-asian) - 5 days a week at about 9am they all head off to the medicine buildings. Then at about 11am (about 2 days a week) a load of hung-over white kids drag themselves out of bed and head towards the social sciences building. |

Too many people busy hankering after the good old days - focussed all their efforts on the present (making a quick buck), completely forgot about investing in the future. Now wondering where it all went wrong and looking for somebody, anybody to blame. The spivs and charlatans that facilitated the loadsa money era are all very happy to point you in the wrong direction.
It suits them - If you weren't too busy looking in the wrong direction, JRM and his like might have to answer some very awkward questions about where he got all his money and where it is currently located. It's only a few years ago, we elected a PM whose father practically invented tax avoidance ffs. |

There is no point bring in more people and then saying we need more doctors and nurses now is there About 1.7 million people are employed in the nhs now , isn’t it unbelievable and that has to be paid for Now if we do need more nurses and doctors , then train them or if necessary interview and employ from overseas ( being very careful to check on qualifications and training ) ...and stop mass immigration and stabilise the population numbers , that’s fine |

They could close your local hospital, school, library, etc tomorrow and they probably will, they will do it with impunity because they know you are too busy looking in the wrong direction (for blame), to do anything about it.
