my apologies for that rude interruption; let's hope he is now back safe & sound ensconsed & cocooned in his own topic
Labour shadow ministers arrive for talks Shadow Environment Secretary Sue Hayman, Shadow Brexit Secretary Keir Starmer, Shadow Business Secretary Rebecca Long-Bailey and Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell have arrived for talks. They are expected to go on for up to five hours, some estimates suggest it'll be 4.30pm before the MPs reemerge. On the agenda - customs union, the single market, environmental protections and reassurances that a future Conservative leader can't pick apart the deal they strike. |

Francois is currently at a Bruges Group meeting; feeling his wrath are Bojo & Molly Robbins. He is now calling his group the Spartan Phalanx. That sounds very rude so i hope the mods don't take offence
![]() Francois says EU elections will produce large contingent of Brexiteer MEPs "the likes of which the European parliament has never seen." "The thought of Nigel Farage and 40 fellow members of the brexit party is hardly going to warm the cockles of the federalists." |

The draft #EUCO conclusions suggest the U.K. would have to leave on 1st June if it had not held elections for the European Parliament.

BBC gone very quiet on it all the past few days
They are running with Mike Ashley as their main news story on website ![]() |
|

they've had that much grief over their reporting, i would suspect them to be quiet. Bridgen yesterday was the latest to pull them up

The “depth” and impartiality of the news programmes of the publicly-funded British broadcast is under review. The Ofcom probe was launched yesterday after being announced in late 2018. The regulator is looking into whether the broadcast remains a “trusted destination for audiences” even as the national debate become more and more polarised with Brexit.
In its first annual report on the BBC, Ofcom said: “We will look at the range and depth of analysis in news and current affairs, across all platforms, and how this compares with other UK news providers.” The British broadcaster is still believed to be performing well “in many respects”. However, the regulator voiced its concerns regarding a noted increase in the proportion of panel-style current affairs programmes, which Ofcom said “do not tend to reflect in-depth investigative journalism”. Ofcom continued: “In addition, we are concerned that the BBC has also more than halved the hours of This World, its only dedicated international current affairs show. “The BBC has a particular responsibility here, given its remit, and can provide an important counterbalance to news accessed through social media. “We think there is value in looking further at how the BBC provides depth of analysis and range of content in its news and current affairs across its TV, radio and online platforms.” Even regular viewers seem to be concerned over the impartiality of BBC, the report highlights, with just 61 percent of regular BBC News TV viewers rated its news output highly for providing impartial news, the report said. Ofcom said: “BBC needs to lead the way in providing trustworthy news and current affairs content across all platforms, to help UK audiences engage effectively with the world around them. |

Twunt is filthier than filth; so he's probably right up there. I'm having trouble distinguishing filth from crao, mouse. Choices eh

The hardcore brexit man is busy founding his own single issue brexit party. His kindred spirits in the tory party are still spouting the same waffle concerning cheap shoes or empire.

isn't it joyous? Better than listening to our PM being called a beggar. Some choose to be slaves - some choose freedom; either way has pain. I myself, would rather be the conductor of my own pain
