I knew as soon as the idiot ran on the pitch the media would make it something much bigger than it was
Not to condone the blokes actions here, but come on ffs, no one got hurt and the fact is his kids are getting abuse on social media ffs And yet abusing the blokes kids is fine because he tried to hit a bloke at a football match? The media should be ashamed of itself |

And the Daily Mail have gone with a picture of him holding a can of Carling

It's how newspapers work about everything. Not just this.
And why you shouldn't believe what they write. Even if it does suit your beliefs. |
|
By:
I don't believe anything they write
But there's people on social media literally looking to see if his kids are on social media so they can abuse/insult them Which is inflamed by the medias reaction to this, just because we don't follow the media Study, doesn't mean the majority of the brainwashed out there dont I find the whole thing pathetic, its a sodding football match not life or death |

That's another thing, giving everyone in the world a computer they have no need or use for. No good ever comes from it.
People are tribal and need a cause. |

Incredible scenes - a man runs onto a football pitch, throws a punch at a young player and the media are equally to blame!
‘The media should be ashamed of itself’ for reporting on a major news story. |

I know
But the bloke sums up how stupid most people are in my opinion Why the heck would you put yourself in harms way like that? there's talk of him losing his job, some rumours abound about him running a pub which is now "down the toilet" although none of this is confirmed but proves my point how daft he needed to be to do it in the first place The saddos are circling |

I found one comment quite funny though - This from a feminist
![]() ![]() "proves why men should be banned from all walks of life" I mean we do live in a truly f***ed up world, that individual can't see the irony of his/her post It was a man attacking another man, on a football pitch which was being played by 22 men, with 95% of the crowd being tanked up men Quite scary but funny |

Well not a mouse, they have touch screen. Anyway in today's world, everyone has a "voice", and 99% have nothing to say. |

In all the years I've been watching English football, I've never actually seen a fan try and then successfully land a punch on a players face, that's why it was shocking, normally pitch invaders run around a bit, maybe remonstrate with a player, even a push, but never a punch and it was a forceful punch from behind, he even steadied himself by placing his left hand on Grealish's back before whacking him with his right.
These big derby games are normally early kick offs to avoid trouble/fan getting tanked up all day, I can only presume based on his body language and behaviour that he was up all night from day before or has an alcohol problem as surely nobody sober could do that and then celebrate it. The media have always been the same and always will, they're a law unto themselves, act first and worry about the consequences later, and because of mass media they are even more desperate to break that story first and get ahead of the game, and that makes reporting today what it is, as sensationaised as possible, I thought Diana would be the tipping point, and then the phone hacking scandals, but alas not to be, where there's money to be they all take leave of their senses, not a profession I would want to be apart of anyway. |

But the bloke sums up how stupid most people are in my opinion
But it isn't most people Sonta its only the occasional 1diot who does something like this. Given that it was on tv then you can expect the media to be all over it. Any consequences are as a result of his stupidity and not the media. |
|
By:
Total moron who couldnt even land a proper punch against someone who was looking the other way.
Hope he gets plenty of time to sit in a cell so he can use his brain cell and work out how thick he is. |

A Birmingham City fan has been jailed for 14 weeks for attacking Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish during the second city derby.
Paul Mitchell, of Rubery, Worcestershire, hit Grealish from behind on the pitch about 10 minutes into Sunday's game. Mitchell, 27, admitted assault and encroachment on to the pitch at Birmingham Magistrates' Court earlier. He "cannot explain what came over him yesterday morning", his solicitor said. "His initial foolish intention was to just go on to the pitch and whip up the crowd," said Vaughn Whistance, defending. Mitchell, of **** Hill Lane, was also ordered to pay £350 in fines and has been banned from attending any football matches in the UK for 10 years. |
