great stuff, hfink. I didn't know that about Magum Force. Another classic !

the 70s were an amazing time for theme tracks when you think about it. I'm sure they get heavily sampled nowadays.

Nice one Reynard. I've actually got that very LP pictured in the YouTubbery. It's a great theme that has been re-arranged and re-used a number of times. First cropped up in an Italian film called Maddalena (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n83VRAWDjAA), then Morricone later re-arranged it for Le Professionnel, the film Baphornet mentioned.

Bap you should listen to the William Tell TV show theme again and listen to the tune below the words, it's the same tune just a different style.

northanlite , I agree with you about tony hatch's talent as a songwriter , he wrote some good tunes , 'Where are you now' is a nice song . . I was referring to his cutting criticism on opp knocks , being similiar to cowells on his shows . I detest cowell .

I think that so many of those tv shows are now unwatchable , but so many of the themes , like the one from 'Hawaii Five 0 , are brilliant .
