There seems to be a hierarchy in 'lefty' thinking.
1. Muslims 2. People of colour 3. LGBTQETC. 4. Feminists 5. Other Leftys 6. Other women and young people. 8. Everyone else (White middle aged men) The higher you are in the pecking order, the more you are thought of, hence you cannot criticise those people of higher rank, but those of higher rank can criticise / offend / abuse those below, as the lefty will justify /ignore /deflect from their behaviour in some way. Hierarchy of Victimhood Handicap: Gay-Black-Female-Muslim (+70) Gay-Black-Muslim (+60) Black-Female-Muslim (+55) Gay-Female-Muslim (+50) Gay-Black-Female (+45) Black-Muslim (+45) Gay-Muslim (+40) Female-Muslim(+35) Gay-Black (+35) Black-Female(+30) Gay-Female (+25) Muslim (+25) Black (+20) Gay (+15) Female (+10) Christian (-10) Straight (-15) White (-20) Male (-25) Straight-Christian (-25) White-Christian (-30) Male-Christian (-35) Straight-White (-35) Straight-Male (-40) White-Male (-45) Straight-White-Christian (-45) Christian-White-Male (-50) Straight-Christian-Male (-55) Straight-White-Male (-60) Straight-White-Christian-Male (-70) |

Yet another example of why you should only travel abroad if you are fully aware of the laws and customs of the country you are going to. I know this only involved Egyptians but too many Brits assume that they can travel abroad and behave in the same way they do in UK. Other countries are entitled to their views.

It is going to be a very long job to get Muslim countries to accept homosexuality.
I assume it is condemned in the Koran?(I have never read it) It is also condemned in the Bible...but we sensibly ignore this now. It is a long time since both those books written. Although the Ancient Greeks were all for homosexuality were they not ![]() Patience is going to be needed here. Both pro and anti gay factions need to use common sense and tolerance ps That case in N.Ireland last year, over the Bert and Ernie cake did not endear me to gays. Tolerance and reason is needed on both sides here....and perhaps we will get there in the end pps Knowing Human Nature things can swing both ways |

I was brought up to tolerate gay and lesbian people.
I think it is right we made it legal. But now we have moved on to gay marriage and gay families I am far from convinced over this, after all marriage and children is rather a heterosexual institution. Well it has been for most of our history. Well if the young are all right with this then fine. Being older I have doubts I admit |

In places like Egypt , and Saudi , etc, , they just have so many insane ideas ,
about sex . It would be quite funny if it wasn't so sad , but that's what those views are , sad and very wrong . What another person does with their body , is their business . If you're gay , You're gay . You're not defined by your sexuality alone , it is just an important part of you . If you're gay , accept yourself , don't live a lie . I love gay people , know why ? Because they are people , I don't love their gayness , I don't care about that , it's nothing to do with me . Love and Peace , is what we need more of in this world , not insane ideas about gay people . Amour et Paix . |

talking of gay families, did you hear that Google lost their sh1t recently when someone had the audacity to use the phrase "family friendly" about one of their products.
Apparently thats a loaded (heteronormative) term now ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
I thought we had 'gay' families now...so how can this offend?
Heteronormative???? well that is what most of us are, heteronormative We don't have apologise to for it. I think this world is a better place when gays stay in the background....I really do I would not stop them doing what they do(they would do it anyway) but the less I hear of them the better |

Why do people quote BBC as if they are some sort of authority on international matters when you won't trust them reporting on what happens outside your door. I hear people whining about the media everyday but have no problem believing the same media on matters that don't happen before their own eyes.
Maybe it is hard to believe but the media has always been lying to you. The only difference today is that it has started lying to you about things happening in your own country. This particular instance could well be a case of political victimization. It is Egypt after all. But even if it is the truth, isn't it exactly what one would expect to happen in a muslim country? I thought after the imports, people would realize what kind of people reside in that region. |

As far as I can see Homosexuality is not specifically illegal in Egypt
But if you practice it they can and will get you any other number of charges...offending public morality, etc So in effect it is! I am afraid this bloke was asking for it interviewing a gay men. |

"ANYONE thats thinks homosexuality is okay is a reprobate - end of. " Says the man using a nom-de-plume of a highway robber. What a prime example of a knob head. DickTurpin You should be able to claim a full disability allowance with such a poorly functioning brain like yours |

By:
Dick turpin,
I apologise, I should not have insulted you for your lack of ability to think things through, I acted rashly, I'm sorry. |
|
By:
Dick Turpin , I would say that just about everyone in my family , sadly , has the same view as yourself . My family are catholic's . I think i understand were you're coming form , but in my my view , it's not based on truth / reality . The reality is , we are , who we are . Gay people are not havin a laugh , they don't choose to be gay , they are honestly , attracted to their own sex . I embrace that honesty . I not only think that , it's ok to be gay , i think , it's wonderful , WHY ? Because , being gay is not a sin , it is A Truth , i don't care what the church says. GOD BLESS US ALL .

By:
It's so wonderful that the NHS says all gay men should have a check up every 6 months. The ONLY other people they tell that to is people with recurring health complaints.
It's so wonderful your 50x more likely to be HIV positive if you're gay. STD clinics are full of gays. |

akabulaWell I am glad you are happy to be gay Culvin(but please don't go on Egyptian TV) Well pretty well everybody likes sex, whatever their personal choices. We are supposed to. As long as we do not harm others with it is ok...it must be voluntary I am not over keen on the idea of Gay marriage and Gay Families myself because I was brought up with the belief it was a heterosexual institution. But then I am older so I leave it the young to make the choice. I think children could also do with 2 parents of opposite sex. I have always believed it should be legal since the Wolfenden Report recommended it and watching the film Victim. Religions came before the Media we have today. They were rules which governed societies. Both the Bible and Koran said it was a sin. One of the reasons for this may have been the need to keep populations up, so all needed to be heterosexual. But strangely the Greeks seemed to tolerate homosexuality and they did not become extinct. The Christian Church cannot change the Bible but most modern clerics certainly in the CE see it as a very small sin. The Muslims still to be lagging in a bit, I am afraid patience is needed here. But hopefully they will get there one day But also Gays themselves have to respect peoples Religious beliefs, no more Bert and Ernie cases please. |

I use the word reprobate because i'm a CALVINIST, however, only GOD truly knows the reprobate............nevertheless you need to repent and believe whether you are a homosexual or not, makes no difference.......
