She still thinks she can get that deal through
![]() Has anyone told her she lost and lost by a record margin? In any other job she'd have escorted from the premises a long time ago |

Whoever her handlers are are taking the absolute p*** here, they've got the front of the dover cliffs I give them that
By:
the show must go on

ffs she,s the most transparent politician in history if she,s up against it ,loses a vote she tells a lie to move the story on, again l;ast night lied about talking to opposition parties ,then adds from the safety of no 10 but only to thoise who agree with her red lines, she,s a serial liar

The last Tory PM who split the party properly was Peel and his reputation is quite high.
May probably should read a bit of history. |

another pointless debate going on now i am going for a swim

She wins a whopper 325 to 306, a massive 19 vote victory
She's doing a winning lap around the chamber as we speak |
By:
Correct me if I'm wrong but that still isn't a majority in the chamber?
325 would fail to get anything passed if all of them voted? |
By:
If she had a shred of decency left in her she'd walk
If she truly loved this country like she says she does she's resign, she should resign out of shame tbh |
By:
at least she won one vote
![]() |
By:
Shows what a spineless bunch of sh*** reside over that side of the chamber though
They'll vote her plan down, but wont vote to get rid of her ![]() |
By:
What a stupid thing to say.
By:
How could anyone believe she would walk and let the clown facing her take over ???????
By:
Typical of the spivs saving their squalid little skins
By:
they want talks about talks about sums it up
By:
We knew she wouldn't walk but this is getting ridiculous
She only survives these votes because they don't want to give up their seats ffs They wont vote with her when it matters |

what would the dup have done if labour had used a bit of imagination last night and abstained letting the vote pass and tory party, dup,2nd reffs, remoaners up the creek without a paddle,
![]() we could be looking at a GE tonight if they had |

Should be a GE anyway, a 19 vote margin isn't exactly a win is it
![]() We know May thinks it is, she's doing back flips in the living room |

Would it not have been wonderful, just for once that the cowards put their country first. JRM could have convinced enough of his members to abstain & she would have lost. A complete new beginning for British politics would have emerged and the cabinet would have been punch drunk.Yes; it may have lead to a GE but so what? The tories would win that anyway. Do they ever see the other side of the hill?

Do they ever see the other side of the hill? Fwiw, I think Labour would win a General Election and the tory MP's with their vote of confidence tonight believe the same. Voters will not forgive this governments shambles of a Brexit over the last couple of years and she is only in now thanks to the DUP after thinking she would win easy last time. I think Corbyn would win quite comfortably. |

welcome HGS. I don't agree obviously, the reason being the man you named. It would scare the living daylights out of any Tory even contemplating changing their vote. Another leader & maybe it would be different. Pretty close on the betting front as well; but that would change with either party putting forward new blood

You have two things to look forward in the future - The jackboot of the eu gestapo stomping down on your neck and the farce that is called VAR in soccerball. It could wreck footy as we know it.
By:
And before the last election Bap, I would have agreed with you. I was amazed he pulled in as much of the vote as he did. Where I am from has generally been a pretty solid Tory seat, but Labour won here. I actually think if the vote happened again tomorrow, Labour would retain and win other Tory seats. I can only see the value of Tory stock taken a further dive after the shambles of the last couple of years, especially in areas where their MP has totally ignored the local referendum result for their own beliefs.
By:
We don't need VAR for betfair to **** things up, the incompetents managing their systems keep clearing the bets now as soon as anything happens long before anything is confirmed. Useless. Did it again tonight in FA cup game.
By:
I know - I have been doing some italian and other games with var - they are playing on and the commentators saying things like - they are looking to see if it was a penalty (eg handball etc) AND THEY ARE STILL FKN playing - it does my head in !!!
By:
HGS; i can agree with most of that; his core base is pretty solid & Wales surprised me in the last GE. I do feel however (not withstanding she may be lying again) as May won't be running; a lot would depend on the Tory against him.
By:
I understood it was to cover blatant c0ck ups etc but it's not - it is going to be every single detail of a match
the derby goal declared as offside after a 2 minute wait - and they don't like it in the studio either. couldn't be more than an inch or two if it was even offside. There will be as much controversy over incidents with var as there is now over offsides etc etc now. |
By:
A lot would matter on who the next leader would be. A lot would also depend on those standing again excuses for ignoring their constituents since the last election and the electorate buying it. Especially in the major leave areas.

I HATED var during the world cup and had many rants about it on the FB forum, for me it ruined the world cup and especially the betting. The amount of ridiculous soft penalties any time ball played man (arm) in the box and so on, even thinking about it makes me angry.

Caroline Flint was on BBC 2 late last night and what a breath of Fresh Air she was. What an intelligent sensible woman.
It reminded me that there are still people in Labour that aren't useless, just none of them would be (or want to be) in a shadow cabinet with a communist POS like Corbyn. |
By:
JC in love with the still fancieable Ms Flint.
Incidentally if Moggy and co were consistent and voted no confidence they wouldn't bring down the govt, just May. Under Cameron's legislation they could just find another leader. But they can't of course. |
