You are the one who stated only certain people can see UFOs and ghosts. I'm asking where is the evidence for this assertion?

religion is pretty much belief too, but thats a given anyway.

all the other stuff has been observed in my lifetime, as claims go.

anybody claiming to see god, mary, jesus today is rather shunned
but ghosts etc is a licence to print cash.

there are plenty of proven fakes, but i cant see a proven proof.

obviously if there was a proven proof we wouldnt need to discuss it anyway!

ive read some great books down the years, and wished stuff to be true, but they
have all fallen apart ( so far) under pressure of science

You seem to be falling apart Baphornet.

Donny; religion would be seriously affected; if not ended if UFO's were some day proven, would it not? It would also throw the world into chaos. I don't think there is any bigger money making scam in the world than religion; but there has not been many godly apparitions really, has there? Well not compared to UFO sightings. Yet business is doing rather well for it

Baphornet don't be a cnt all your life try and have a day off. And still no answer to my question about only certain people seeing UFOs and ghosts. Do you really believe that?

charlie; just how many put downs do you want? Are you a lover of verbal pain? Posting repetitive c&p is so childish
By:
Charlie
When: 12 Jan 19 20:33
And saying you couldn't care what people say is just plain lying.

last major religious sighting brought about lourdes as far as i can see

that makes money.

plenty of churches, cathedrals, mosques, temples etc built, that continue to generate funds
but not entirely from folk that believe. some of em supplement income with ghost tours, or relics!

I think loads of sightings could just be down to tricks of light.
I also think that some people are more open to the idea of UFOs than others - similar to those that believe everything so called psychics tell them.
However given how big the Universe is it would be silly to dismiss the idea of life elsewhere and possible visitations.
Never seen anything convincing though.

Donny; Nasa, in 2014, gave $1.1m to the Center of Theological Inquiry, an independent institution, to support an initiative to study “the societal implications of astrobiology”. Nasa was criticised by some for providing money to an organisation rooted in Christian theology.
Darwinism didn't upset religious fever too much. Maybe even an alien race wouldn't. Moneymaking scams have a way of surviving better than coackroaches

As an aside Donny: i know you love reading; have you read "Copernican Revolution" Well worth a peruse

akabula; There is a multitude of explanations; some of which regarding aircraft i wrote above. There is however some really unexplained phenomenom out there; So much so that even the most sceptical of souls have lightened their stance somewhat

But do you have to "special" to see them? Just admit you were talking bollocks as it would cause you a lot less grief.

not read it bap

have been ploughing through some history books i built up without reading

british, or moreso, english monarchs, but prefer listening to scharma on royalty,
nice to read other opinions and alternate ideas behind the decision though.

i'd love to think there is life elsewhere in the universe, the science suggests there is,

even better to think they are thinking about coming to see us soon to bang a few
heeds together!

i think History is wonderful & vastly undertaught

History is indeed wonderful , it's what got us where we are today !
It isn't undertaught per se , they only teach history that fits the PC narrative , and ignore some aspects of history completely , simply because it makes for uncomfortable reading Blush

its all politics though, innit, history, and the endless fighting and flukes
that change the course of how it plays out.
