Jeremy Clarkson has hit out at the BBC’s increasingly metropolitan, lefty London bend, describing it as “politically correct” and “up itself”.
In an interview with the Radio Times, he says: “If I ran the BBC, it would be better. I’d make programmes for everybody, not just seven people in Islington.”
Clarkson pointed out how: “It’s become so up itself, suffocating the life out of everything with its nonsense need to be politically correct.”
And when it comes to gender on telly at the Beeb, he pointed out how: “Men now just don’t get jobs (at the BBC) at all. “Honestly, poor old Nick Robinson going for an interview for Question Time. What a waste of petrol that was. No chance he’s going to get it.
“Anyone who has got a scrotum, forget it.”
The BBC has faced criticism recently from pro-Brexit MPs unhappy with the broadcaster describing a No Deal Brexit as ‘crashing out’ and going over a ‘cliff edge’.
In a digital age, how can a compulsory license fee seriously be justified?

Clarkson can't get over the fact that he was sacked by the BBC : . https://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/mar/25/jeremy-clarkson-police-investigation-bbc-report-top-gear
Jeremy Clarkson could face a police investigation into the unprovoked attack that left a colleague bleeding and cost the Top Gear presenter his job, bringing an end to a BBC career that spanned four decades.
The BBC director general, Tony Hall, said “with great regret” he decided not to renew Clarkson’s contract, saying the presenter had “crossed a line” which left him with no alternative.
North Yorkshire police have requested a copy of the BBC report that found Clarkson had been responsible for an “unprovoked physical and verbal attack” on Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon, who sought hospital treatment after the attack.
An internal inquiry overseen by BBC Scotland boss Ken MacQuarrie concluded that Tymon was struck by Clarkson during an unprovoked 30-second physical attack “resulting in swelling and bleeding to his lip”.
Tymon, who was subjected to a sustained verbal abuse by the presenter, was left “shocked and distressed by the incident” and “drove to a nearby A&E department for examination”.
Hall said Clarkson had crossed a line by subjecting an “innocent party [to] a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature”.
The North Yorkshire force said it was “liaising with the BBC regarding the alleged incident in North Yorkshire involving Jeremy Clarkson

Any TV drama, you just know who the bad guy (using that word appropriately) is after the first episode.....unless you are otherwise distracted by the number of women / ethnic minority / 'victimhood claimers' there are in positions of authority (there's a black Chief of Police in 19th Century Paris airing right now - who knew?!)
Comedy shows?
Forget subverting expectation for comic effect.
"Isn't Trump awful......isn't Brexit awful....etc" and that'll pretty much get you the gig. 'The Last Leg' came in swinging as an edgy Friday Night 'must see' and a good sntidote to the 'well past it's sell-by date HIGNFY'.
Now it's lazy cliched and dull.
This sin't an appeal for a return of the Black and White Minstrel Show and disembowelment for the new female Doctor Who, but FFS do they have to be so bl00dy obvious and right-on?

As others have mentioned, he's part of a cosy little establishment set but has made a fortune pretending to be one of us. Also did a bit of cheerleading for the remain camp.

Don't always agree with Clarkson but he's totally correct. As is Hanx. I mean wasn't there an announcement a while back that they are going to deliberately force inclusion of transgender people into plotlines just for the sake of doing it? What is that other than PC social engineering? They are OBSESSED with "diversity" and its like and the entire political philosophy backing it. As a BBC guy said a couple years ago, I posted the link, the BBC would never commission Monty Python as it's all educated white men and not diverse enough. Maybe that's why we don't get the likes of Armstrong and Miller and Mitchell and Webb anymore. Even The Fast Show, would that be made now by the BBC? Maybe if was forced to include Kumar on it to make unfunny sketches about how remoaners are nazis..

I do not even know why he's on tv...he's not photogenic, and past it. Maybe trying to resuscitate his flagging media popularity. How he got to present Want To Be A Millionaire is beyond my comprehension.
Another one is the presenter on Good Morning Britain, a former editor of The Mirror. And they loathe each other to the core, I believe - I wonder why.

Clarkson has got a presence that draws your attention. He's worth listening to, and he usually says something provocative into the bargain.
I'm not interested in tittle-tattle about celebrities, people who follow stuff like that are usually pretty inadequate.
Nice article about the BBC from Clarkson, he hit the nail right on the head. Why should we be made to pay for leftie propaganda and to promote PR bigotry?

Clarkson has his niche and can talk bluntly on subjects without ruining what's left of his career. Sadly, most people in tv who may agree with what Clarkson said, cannot say it.

Why should Clarkson be photogenic to be on TV? He's a bit of a boer but on this he is without question correct.
Try saying a woman shouldn't be on TV because they aren't attractive, see how the SWJs will go after you!

Similarly, those who disagree with him cannot say it in public either.
Honestly, what does Clarkson bring to tv or media? For instance, on Topgear, clowning about with his two other stooges and making derogatory and disrespectful comments about vehicles probably bought by the common folks cannot be deemed as entertainment, surely.
The photogenic bit was an aside; the childish clowning (on Topgear) trying to be funny when clearly was not was akin to a comedian not drawing a laughter from the audience.

He got lucky and was popular. Not my cup of tea, but he's watchable and it's a good thing that some people can talk bluntly and offer opinions that others simply can't.

I didn't like Top Gear but the ratings tell a story that many others did. They employed the supermodel chiseled features of Chris Evans after he left and ratings collapsed, proving being really really ridiculously good looking doesn't help!

Clarkson loved to push limits but it was in the cause of humour and cars.
He is unique and unforgettable.
More than I can say about the BBC at the moment(except maybe BBC4)

Who would you rather go down the pub with and have a pint and a game of darts? ... Chris Evans, Jeremy Corbyn, Theresa May, or Jeremy Clarkson? He doesn't seem too bad really, thinking about it.

BBC Managerial MEeting: "Only proves the viewing audience are WRONG and bad people. We need more re-education. We must step up the BBC Diversity Agenda. Next Doctor will be a disabled ethnic transgender muslim amputee with aspergers. Anyone who stops watching must be charged with a hate crime".

Topgear ought to be about cars - ordinary and extraordinary - but not lifting, dropping and destroying an old caravan high up using a crane. Another was the celebrity in a reasonably priced car: What was all that about? Who cared whether they could drive or not?
Topgear in African or some other places in the world: Who'd give a toss except the 3 presenters...only boosting their bank balance. I believe it lost its plot and appeal (to me, anyway) when it began not focusing on the vehicles but instead cloning about making themselves more important and integral than the vehicles themselves.
Stig was good stuff though.

Totally agree with Clarkson (about the BBC) and he's a TV legend.
If you agree with someone of course you think they're correct, it's silly to say otherwise.

TG wasn't that successful but Clarkson and co turned it into a huge world wide success, making huge amounts of money for the BBC and themselves. It became and entertainment show with a bit of a car theme, you have to accept it for what it was. I personally didn't watch it much but I wouldnt' watch a stale car show either. Doesn't 5 do one called 5th gear if you want that, or used to?
Of course the BBC will have squandered the income on rubbish and HUGE salaries for mediocre talent and biased journalists but there you go...

To be fair, actually punching someone was probably over the limit
But the BBC have lost getting rid of Clarkson...you cannot replace someone like him
Still Clarkson and the BBC was always a match made in hell
He must must have insulted just every country on earth at one or another ...but it was all humurous, he was
only ever serious about cars

There was a time when the BBC was respected for it's impartiality and quality...sadly no more.
Although at the moment BBC4 is very good. There are presenters of both sexes presenting their documentaries,
the only criteria being for knowledge of a subject and their ability to present it, which is as it should be.
I hope they can keep it like that.
Good documentary in the week. 'The Armada 12 days to save England' presented by Dan Snow and other
good historians.
Oh yes, Drake did not relax playing bowls on Plymouth Hoe when the Armada was sighted. His fleet was trapped
in Plymouth by adverse tides and wind he was not able to leave harbour, he was a very frustrated man. Luckily
the wind and tide changed in the evening and the English fleet left Plymouth.
Spoils a good story though oh well.
