Report Jack Hacksaw • January 9, 2019 7:57 PM GMT
Whatever the incident, got to feel sorry for the Burton fans.

Just a No Deal queue
Report tictacman1 • January 9, 2019 8:15 PM GMT
A spokesperson from Staffordshire Police confirmed officers stopped a vehicle, and a number of people exited from the back.

A man has been arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody.

Good few on the run...

One motorist reported seeing 22 police vehicles making their way to the scene....must be the complete fleet out
Report mrcombustible • January 9, 2019 8:19 PM GMT
Javid will appear shortly to take credit for keeping his fellow countrymen out.
Report SontaranStratagem • January 9, 2019 8:19 PM GMT
"ongoing major incident"?

No bomb, no shooting, just checking lorries ffs

Another invisible drone as pointed out above?

Or a plastic tommy toy gun?
Report Ibrahima Sonko • January 9, 2019 8:20 PM GMT
Just picking them up to take them to their new homes.

Twitter reports 25 chaps got out the back of a lorry, amazing police response considering it takes them days to attend a burglary.
Report SontaranStratagem • January 9, 2019 8:27 PM GMT
22 police cars just for that?

They didn't have the sas jumping out of helicopters as well did they?

And burglaries are considered none important now, they just ask if your insured and if you are they just ask them to claim it back
Report mouse muldoon • January 9, 2019 8:36 PM GMT
Did 10 coppers jumped out of each of the 22 clown cars?
Report mouse muldoon • January 9, 2019 8:36 PM GMT
*jump

news diversion tactic
Report impossible123 • January 9, 2019 9:37 PM GMT
I think the drone was a convenient diversion. Where is our wall, Mr Trump?
Report sageform • January 9, 2019 9:40 PM GMT
There must have been a few hundred apprehended in the last month. Is that one percent of the number who came in or two?
Report Injera • January 9, 2019 9:47 PM GMT
Our border force make Burton Albion look watertight.

Why else would they be apprehended where they were and not at their point of entry?

Tip-off or smoke & mirrors, iyo?

Report saddo • January 10, 2019 10:15 AM GMT
Sageform, Migration Watch UK estimate the number off illegal immigrants at 70,000 per annum.
Report Baphornet • January 10, 2019 10:18 AM GMT
and we only need 1% of that to be 'nasty' to cause bedlam in this country.
Report saddo • January 10, 2019 10:18 AM GMT
That is enough to populate a town like Shrewsbury every year.
Report Reynard • January 10, 2019 12:44 PM GMT
The real extent of illegal immigration has never been , nor ever will be , fully revealed . Consequently it will never be fully addressed or any serious attempt made to reverse the problem Sad
Report Baphornet • January 10, 2019 12:49 PM GMT
then we may as well start calling England - Antioch

And that's just the ill eagles.

Meanwhile the rest of us are just the tax slaves to pay for it all. Even the disable's have been forced into work to help pay for this sheet.
Report impossible123 • January 10, 2019 1:18 PM GMT
Why on the motorway itself? Why not on a side road or even a motorway cafe? Disruption would be minimal, if so.
Report Baphornet • January 10, 2019 1:26 PM GMT
why not just lift the lorry off the motorway and return it to whereoust it came
Report nellie1970 • January 10, 2019 1:29 PM GMT
better still stop it where it comes in
Report Reynard • January 10, 2019 1:36 PM GMT
Easier to intercept an HGV @ 56mph than it is to intercept a drone ............ apparently Blush
Report impossible123 • January 10, 2019 1:39 PM GMT
'Baphornet', what a brilliant suggestion! Have not read the article - desensitised - but who were they? Iranians or Asian economic migrants?

Cling-filmed the entire lorry, put it on a top-loader, and deposit it back to country of origin (France/Macron, I hazard a guess).
Report Baphornet • January 10, 2019 1:49 PM GMT
last point of entry so France it is. And of course charge them the rightful amount for returning their citizens & cost of repatriation
