far weaker; and will become irrelevant sooner rather than later unless a serious change occurs

not sure what either of those incidents have to do with democracy
|
|

what i find strange is that for months now, there has been an annoying gathering on or outside Abingdon Green. No mention of anything untoward regarding MPs yet, all of a sudden a group of 'leavers' appears and starts to hassle various females. How many days is it to the vote again?
|

Baphornet, are you blinkered, please explain why nothing to do with democracy.

democracy
a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives so, what do those incidents have to do with democracy? |

loutish behaviour should not be confused with democracy.
if they wish to make a peaceful protest, fair enough. thats part of our society but not really democracy. if they wish to be loutish, then remove them, charge them, make them understand its not acceptable, but its got nowt to do with democracy. |

I agree Donny but Crimes become Law and new laws are frequent today, i agree Laws need to be scrutinised but not on
the back end of anger which seems to be the case now, everyone needs to calm down and reflect...in a marraige breakdown you can see what may become,,,lets not this senario be the case, no man or woman is weaker or stronger than the nextweare all equall...lets not pick on the vunreable, the one we think nay be on our side more than the other |

amazing scenes. All the disruption has been previously caused by Steve Bray & his supporters; and i've said many times, even on here "Where are the 'leavers'? Why don't they protst like the French do?" Lo & behold; a week before the vote a few hired anarchists turn up and the MM is all over it. I'd smile but it's too sad for smiles

Listen...i voted leave like you voted remain, we all have our reasons why and i would never feel that your not my friend for voting differently, but unfortunetly 17.5 million people voted to Leave...and i do believe there will be no second peoples vote, and there will be no delays, and there will be no Mays deal, allwe can do is reflect in 3 to 4 years time and see

By:
we might not have voted same way in ref, but seem to agree on the
mechanics of what is happening to our country. as you suggest a few years down the road it might be better, but i think whatever happens there will be long term campaigns and lots of protest and adverts and papers to be sold. lets hope they behave themselves!!! |
|
By:
Lets hope they behave themselves!!!
Both Parties are going to be angry and i dont think will ever meet in the middle, only the future will give us all a clearer picture, History isnt a footprint to what Happens in the future,we all want the same, a better future, you can vote remain or vote leave, i think we all want the same,,,,we need a firm leadership which i think is not there just yet,but from the bottom of my heart i want the best for everyone i always have. |

If Britain doesn’t leave the EU or stays basically trapped inside the EU then I won’t take to the streets. I won’t wail or gnash my teeth. I certainly won’t take to insulting my friends, family or fellow citizens who voted ‘Remain’.
Far from it. I will get on with things and with people. But I won’t see much point in voting again, because I have been persuaded that at some level I had never expected, and in a way I had never previously seen, the whole thing is stitched up. While members of the public might be allowed to make minor alterations to the composition of our local council, on the really important questions our opinion isn’t wanted and our say doesn’t count. I’m sure some forumites will say ‘Isn’t that a bit over the top?’. And who knows, maybe they are correct. Perhaps my attitude will change at some crisis point down the road. But the purpose of my saying this is not really to say what I am thinking, but only really to say this: if I am thinking this, what are millions of other people in our country thinking? And what is not imaginable after disenfranchisement on such a scale? |
|
By:
i've already said on here a while back that i won't be voting again. The result doesn't matter to that fsct. The reason i won't be voting is that i have no confidence in the system anymore. What has happened in the last 2 years has just enforced that opinion. My local MP couldn't run a market stall in Camden. The whole house is a venomous cesspit without any venom. Run by a speaker who wouldn't be lost in Tom Browns Schooldays. Not one single MP in the house could, or should be PM.
|
|
By:
cant understand why anybody wants to enforce the will of the people and threatens not to vote again
if it isnt enforced. its like ordering online and something goes wrong so you stop using online purchases. it seems like some pre arranged stance given by some bloke on youtube, that folk think sounds good but in reality is not. |
|
By:
Weaker. Brexit has lifted the curtains and we can see just how little respect our MPS have for the common voter.
Theoretically they are there to serve US. It's quite clear they view it totally the other way round. |
