Just switched on for the Apprentice. Are you telling me that George Ezra is the Sports Personality of the Year? Well, I thought sport had been pretty bad this year, but that bad????

Sunk to a new low.

Netball and a cyclist you have never heard of and if he passed you in the street you wouldn't know who he was.

Sports Personality of the year.......

They stick 6 names out there for us to "vote for" and not one of them would be in my top 6

How you can't stick Fury and Joshua in the final 6 is baffling

How much of the programme had anything to do with sport and not the BBC mass scale propaganda machine?

Some 100m dasher who won a European medal?

So that carried more weight than winning a world belt (Joshua)??

Pathetic

Fury might have thought twice about going up on stage anyway

Last time he did Mr Clean gave him the diversity is our strength speech

she was fastest in the world this year but unfortunately for her in a year when there was no worlds or olympics. might win gold in toyko but agree a stretch to put her in on what she's actually achieved

Anderson was another pointless add though

He was the leading man in 2011 down under but was never added then?

So why is added now when we got hammered down under twice since and had an awful away record since 2016

Makes no sense at all imo

andrew strauss and alistair cook were nominated for 2011. always difficult for cricketers doing well in the winter. tends to fall too late for the previous year and too early to have much resonance for the following year

Not even a Ronnie O'Sullivan SPOTY nomination just a week after he became the GOAT at snooker winning a record 19 majors.
And also snooker being one of the last sports the BBC actually cover now, bit strange really.
BBC even managed to honour Phil 'The Power' Taylor of darts fame one year.

a netball match, voted for by the public

what can they get right?
By:

No , it says more about those who are of the opinion that our "best sporting moment of the year" was a netball match . They obviously don't get out much Plain

They continually manage the program so they get the results they want ......well except for the public keep voting for 3 blokes on the podium for the overall winner  Laugh

I still do not understand why Mr Thomas winning Le Tour with the aid of Mr Froome and the Sky corporation wins the award ......but Mr Yates winning the much tougher Vuelta is invisible.
