Reports that some small American network has photos.

Ok, thanks. I heard something this morning similar but thought it was just nonsense.
|
|
By:
it maybe nonsense, the issue here is, the chap had reported mental problems, but was to allowed to own a gun.......
|
|
By:
.... but he had a state drivers licence. It will keep happening again and again and again because as workrider states they are all loonies.
|

Only seen the headlines so far, but ex Marine goes on rampage - is it not likely that he was untreated for PTSD? despite what both parties try to say over there the vets are brought to the fore for political argument but are still treated pretty poorly eg mental health after service.
|
|
By:
vets not tret too well over here too.
lots of problems for them, its a big step for some, and not always the help they require. i do think we are starting to understand there are problems for some one guy in uk currently on hunger strike to bring attention to lack of care... |

Any links to him being g a muslim, otherwise it's desperate stuff again as all the evidence says other wise - here is a post from his facebook page minutes before the shooting just to add to that:
"I hope people call me insane... (laughing emojis).. wouldn't that just be a big ball of irony? Yeah.. I'm insane, but the only thing you people do after these shootings is 'hopes and prayers'.. or 'keep you in my thoughts'... every time... and wonder why these keep happening..." There may be pics of him in vaguely islamic clothes which i s'pose in your weird little world makes him a member of isis, though he seems to have only spent about 6 months in Afghanistan and the rest in Japan and Hawaii both not really known as hotbeds of Islam. Re the treatment of soldiers - this country has a long a proud tradition of discarding it's soldiers when not needed any more. The dead soldiers in the first great War (waterloo etc) had their teeth ripped from their mouths to supply dentures to Brits back home and many of those who returned sold their teeth to souvenir hunters (amongst many other things) only a few years after and that's not even mentioning those who returned from the battle of Belnheim - things haven't changed since. |

Under the rules of Chit Chat is it credible to be a killer with mental health issues if you're white but not black?

It has nothing to do with Islam, but this time it is true!!!

Police have slipped up here. Armed response to his house in April. Took half a day to get him out according to neighbour. Should have taken his guns away.

That is not really the issue I'm afraid. There are several issues but perhaps one of the biggest is the NRA who will not allow any of the Congressmen on their pay roll to vote for any gun law legislation. Any new law for them would be the tip of the wedge and they think the flood gates would open. The second problem is the Congressmen and women who take the NRA Dollar. There is a movement going to promote politician's who are not NRA bank rolled. This will be slow but maybe the only solution. Another major issue is American culture and history. The country was made by men with guns. I cannot see them becoming a civilised society in relation to gun law and control. There are too many guns and too many die hards who would resist the changes needed. The are also too many guns in the wrong hands so how does that issue get dealt with. Americans just have to accept the carnage will continue and hope they or their loved ones are not amongst the victims. I think some better form of licensing and mental health checks would help and a ban on assault rifles but it really is a sad situation without many credible solutions. I am not a fan of country and western music but they have been getting it bad recently. |

Several People who Survived the Vegas Shooting involved in this ,One of them Killed ,Whats the Chances in Getting caught up
in two mass shooting , both looking Motiveless ![]() |
|
By:
No one think this is Strange ? You have a man Armed Like an Army ,randomly attacking People in Las Vegas, for No apparent reason ,then People who were involved in that attack are randomly attacked by an Ex marine for no apparent reason, in California , One of them being Killed .. Summat Wrong imo
What are the odds of a group of the same people ending up in Two mass shootings ? Must run into Billions ? |
|
By:
Probably odds on over there

What are the odds of a group of the same people ending up in Two mass shootings
What, the odds on a country and western fan from Cal going to the biggest country and western festival in Vegas and then spending their evenings in a country and western bar in their home town? Yep, you're right must be billions to one.....let me guess they are both false flags aren'lt they? You'd better get used to it as these things are going to be monthly at best from now on in all prob and there are going ti be lots caught up in them, but please do carry on in that conspiracy laden nonsense you call life. |
|
By:
307 mass shootings in America so far this year, 346 last year. Not exactly random are they.
|
|
By:
The lifetime risk of dying in a mass shooting is around 1 in 110,000 x 110,000 12321000000
![]() Wtf has what Kind of Music the People Like got to do with it ? Oh and BTW I don't do conspiracy.... It would not be the First time A group of People were attacked in order to Just target someone among them ... But the Shooters ending up Dead does not Add up in that Respects .. |
|
By:
1 in 111000 is big enough , for it to happen twice is pretty Random Baron ,surely even your LSB can see that
![]() |
|
By:
are you saying they diedin one mass shooting, came back to life and were killed in another mass shooting
as that seems to be the odds you are suggesting that would be very rare |
|
By:
No, one of the Dead survived Vegas , there were about a Dozen at the 2nd shooting that were at Vegas ..
|
|
By:
you will need to change your odds calculation in that case
|
|
By:
some folk were at hiroshima and nagasaki when the cities were nuked
the chances of being nuked are very high, and to be nuked twice you cant simply square the probability of being nuked once. teddy kennedy had two brothers assassinated, survived a plane crash that killed his aide and a car crash that killed his passenger....odds must be very very high, but it happened |

Someone wins the lottery every few weeks. Odds are 45 million to 1.

By:
Yes your Correct , Also looking at another Site it states 1 in 15,000
to be Killed in a mass shootingSaying that its only 8000-1 the Police will kill http://uk.businessinsider.com/mass-shooting-gun-statistics-2018-2 |

if you look at yesterdays footy scores on flashscores and write down the odds of each score
then the odds of that exact set of results is so great that it exceeds any possible possibility anybody can think of, yet they occured, because there has to be an outcome. |
|
By:
Working out the exact odds of someone being in two mass shootings should include profiling ie locations, type of events, times, demographic etc The likelihood of someone being involved in more than one mass shooting isn't as high as most people would think. In fact it would be surprising if there wasn't anybody.
Many events in life seem to have astronomical odds and lead some people to believe in fate, religion, conspiracy theories as an explanation. |

By:
Another Country music venue gun attack, the last one was dropped very quickly by the msn considering the sheer scale of casualties. Most people going to these shows will be white and will be presumed to be Repblican in nature.
|
|
By:
casemoney - you were asking about the odds of someone surviving a mass shooting and then being involved in another. I have no idea of the odds, but the music aspect is actually important here. I believe both venues were hosting C&W music events. Thousand Oaks, CA and Vegas are not that far away in US geographical terms - a short flight. If you were a fan of that music and lived in that area then it doesn't sound so improbable to be at both events. Definitely sad and unfortunate, but not as improbable as it may seem at first sight.

By:
especially as over 20,000 people from all over the U.S were at the Harvest festival in Vegas............
|
|
By:
It's more probable that they're the same crisis actors.
|
|

Yeah, cos it's like a really successful policy and working so very well - i don't know why there isn't one of these obvious false flag events every week. They move the gun control debate way up the list of things U.S politicians have on their 'to do' list as it looks like it could get passed any day now (mind you according to Trump he can end any constitutional amendment by the stroke of his pen). Banning guns will have zero effect as there are something like 300m legally held guns and Trump has been incredibly bad for small arms manufacturers as sales have plummeted - unlike when Dems are pres as, for some weird reason, a certain type of gun owner (the type that usually does these shootings weirdly enough) feels the need to re-arm when the dems (especially a black one) are presidents.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
This was passed in 1791...eight years after the American Revolution finished in 1783. This was passed in case Britain tried to reintegrate America into it's empire. Which in fact it did in the war of 1812...but the American's again won. We have not tried again since.... The problem seem not so much American's right to bear arms, so much as some do and some don't..so cannot fire back. The vast majority of American gunowners are perfectly responsible, but it does not take too many nutters to cause appalling slaughter. The problem is one for the American's themselves.....they must decide themselves? |
