I note police are asking for information of three men who gang raped a young woman in yorkshire (well I never - wot is it about yorkshire)

Just to give you guys a heads up about Porcupinepineapple. This is a man who not only wrote a disgusting post on the poppy appeal thread, he now thinks it is acceptable to call others "sea lions" which is a very derogatory and offensive term for Jewish people.

Having read these posts and having never heard of Sea Lion as a derog term, I decided to poll several of my Jewish friends. Not one had heard of this apart from one who is fluent in hebrew. He said that the hebrew term for sea lion literally meant sea dog. So, as much as I dislike and disagree with PP on everything. he would have to knowledgeable of hebrew or incredibly well read. I doubt he is either. He is just a very naughty boy. Perhaps he read it in the Guardian or heard it at a Labour party meeting.

Torq - I suggest you Google sea lion debate or something similar.

You would think the authorities have got the message by now but no.  Still trying to play it down.
Like the senior Telford copper coming on and telling us that it is sensationalism to report 40 years of recognised abuse in the town when in fact police hadn't acted according to one police officer and Telford had a higher rate of abuse per capita than most towns elsewhere.!!!   Hmmmm!!!

You see - they are still trying to cover it up or try to obfuscate, deflect and excuse.
I think it is too filthy/nasty/disgusting for it to be a country wide topic of outrage.  The tv media simply want to avoid it where possible.  The dainty presenters don't really want to get the fingers dirty or be associated with investigations like these but are happy to go on a 'plastic' or 'voting' campaign.  Much 'cleaner'.

Then there are the 4 million voters the politicians do not want to upset.   Form the waggons in a ring and hope it will fade away.

Only reading forums etc do I realise that there are still towns where, apart from the corner shop man, there aren't any.

I read an article yesterday where , yet again , concerned parents reported their children missing and were simply told by the police that they couldn't or wouldn't do anything .
Another case where there was so much DNA evidence in/on the victim that they were unable , or maybe unwilling , to build a case against the rapists because there were simply too many !

The sheer scale of this epidemic is beyond the comprehension of normal folk like you and I , but I can't help wondering if the number of victims would be considerably fewer if the authorities had acted sooner . I guess we'll never know ........

that is one town

multiply by whatever towns you are aware of

but the community did not know

so who were these girls pimped out to??
