I would never have been able to film and realise that footage to the pubic for it to be plastered all over the news and tv screens
couldn’t really do that I think to do that is a bigger crime in its way than anything he did or said Bloke phoned in the Nick Ferrari show and said it was him. Described himself of the Windrush generation. Certainly trying his hardest to drop the old chap in it. Only recorded what the man said as well. Is that racism? I'd like to have heard the full exchange. |

The evidence is there to condemn the man but I would like to hear what she said.
Who knows, maybe both of them were guilty of racism. |

whats the max penalty he can face for racism, even if it was in the uk?
what if some person on the plane was travelling to an important meeting and missed it, or lost a job because of a delay, or missed birth of a child, or last hours with dying relative....to delay the flight may well cause even more damage, than the abuse suffered by this lady. if ryan air tried to contact the lady then they didnt try hard enough, a large boquet delivered, would show some intent. still time for them to make amends as her moving may well have saved them £100k in compo nobody should be abused on a plane, racially or otherwise, and it is stressful for some folk. it would be nice if the bloke apologised via one of the media outlets if he regrets his actions. |

I got into a huge argument with a couple of woman on a Ryanair flight recently. But that is where the seat reservation comes in handy. I told the wife and mother in law that I'm not paying for us to sit together again.

Just what do people find so offensive in being called black? He called her an ugly black ba$tard He also threatened to push her off the seat if she didn't move. You think that's okay then. You seem desperate for the victim to be in the wrong ![]() |

It’s possible ?

none of them behaved very well , I think we can all agree on that

You think that's okay then.
Of course not. But you seem to think we should hang draw and quarter someone for making a distasteful remark in the heat of the moment, using valuable police time, instead of pursuing real thugs who batter old people in their homes and rob people. It was trivial, no one ever needed hospital treatment for hurt feelings after a few sentences of abuse. You seem desperate to blow this out of all proportion. |

I haven't said what should happen to him - I'll leave that to the police and Ryanair. "It was trivial, no one ever needed hospital treatment for hurt feelings after a few sentences of abuse." It might be trivial to you but that wont surprise anyone. I'm sure you'd be up in arms if it happened to one of your relatives. |

I could see this poor elderly white man becoming agitated , but no one seems to wonder why or what caused it we still don’t seem to know
he’s from Birmingham ?when people come from non violent areas they tend to be very mellow , He wasn’t that certainly |
|
By:
What caused it , and why do we not know what caused it after all this press coverage ?
That seems strange |

Here's a snip from the daily Mail article which might help you. The man, who has yet to be identified, became agitated at how long Mrs Gayle, who suffers from arthritis, took to move from her aisle seat as he tried to get to his window seat. Mrs Gayle said: 'He said to me, 'Can you get up and let me come in?', so I said: 'In a minute.' He said: 'When I say get up, I mean you ought to get up'. 'So I said to him, 'Don't point your hand in my face' and he said 'I do what I want to do'.' Airline staff then watched on without intervening as the abuser called Mrs Gayle a 'an ugly black b******' and threatened to push her off the row of seats they shared. |
