Known for their rock and cockney style, Chas and Dave enjoyed the height of their fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as Rabbit and Snooker Loopy.

They also performed four FA Cup final songs with Tottenham Hotspur FC.

A lot of British music suffers from not really being music , more pantomime
There is that tradition as if the music isn’t the most important thing
American music is different , it’s the music that is important first second and last

i stumbled on to 1 of their "live" shows a few months back, harmless singalong from days gone by never to be repeated.

jim davidson was part of the show but got edited out how times have changed.

I was saddened to hear about poor Chas.
Great pianist, wrote some clever stuff.
Chas N Dave were original and quite underrated because of the style.
The music was not (contrary to the views of the local idiot) "dreadful rubbish"

I remember the great musician Joe Brown, in an interview, saying that Dave was a superb guitarist, as well as being adept at other instruments.

Being interviewed by Selina Scott was hard work, she was thick!

Had to google Harry Champion. Could be right.

Excellent programme from 2012. Pity I only caught the second half.

Chas seemed like a very nice chap  when he was being interviewed.

When the likes of Clapton and Holland say you're great musicians how can you disagree! Enjoyed it.
