I think the biggest predator to birds is the domestic cat. According to RSPB figures 55 million birds are killed annually by cats. Same source states 275 million prey items are caught by cats each year. That`s a lot of birds, mice, rats, etc.

Here you are blackbarn, you may find what you are looking for here, if you have a couple of hours to spare:
https://ww2.rspb.org.uk/Images/Predator%20Report_tcm9-177905.pdf I would like to read the hard copy book but I can`t read these electronic books. Minks are a big killer and of course other birds and reptiles. |

"Cleckheaton...10 minute drive to centre of Bradford and a 15 minute drive to centre of Leeds....would you not call that inbetween"
No because Cleckheaton is south of both Leeds, and Bradford, so not in between, other than would be by time only except,in your contesting, you have to Leeds as being 50% longer! On that basis, as I said before, Denby Dale is 45 minutes from both Leeds and Bradford! Would you not call that in between? The only small town, that is truly between Leeds and Bradford, is Pudsey! I rest my case.... ![]() |

Farsley not a bad shout, but a bit further north, so sticking with Pudsey, but Farsley is where my better half came from....

My mate lives there, just below The Fleece, the oldest of Tetley's purchases.
