Give this one a go....you have to give name and title and link to a song that no chit chatters would have ever heard before....

Went to see Richard Hawley last year and heard this on the p.a before he came on. I'd heard Cherry Ghost before but not this particular song ('Clear Skies Ever Closer') and it's a belter.

mm, Herd Runners is a superb album from start to finish but unfortunately Simon Aldred seems to have called a halt on his Cherry Ghost career. I enjoyed the Michael Head track, so thanks for that.

he did, said herd runners would be last cg album.  he did do a solo album before herd runners, under guise of ' out cold' which is more electric/synth than cg.  he did /does write for other artists and had a song on last kristina train album, though not best track, here is best track, magnificent song.

I really love a song that was B side to an Eurovision entry that is pretty much unknown. By Nin Huguen and the Huguenotes.

Not a great fan of Eurovision per se but it does chuck the occasional good one up in my opinion:

There's a story as to why I've had this for ages and, for whatever reason, not played it for years!

I think it was my son's Uni friend/contact!

Worth checking out his other works....
