This morning I was ready to give Trump some credit, but the way his supporters have gone of its like he's solved all famine, world peace, and found the cure for cancer all in one handshake and 5 minute chat with another dictator He did well but he's the sodding president, that's supposed to be his bleeding job???. but its only the beginning and having watched it all from start to finish I don't think King Jong Un is even giving up the weapons tbh, and Trump has managed to alienate Canada and France before heading of to singapore, and after this he's probably alienated Japan and South Korea as wellSo well done, he managed to get Kim to talk, but ruined alliances with two other nations by doing so.

I think South Koreans are actually mostly pleased.

the new President had been pushing for this and is mostly very popular from what I gather.

Not actually been much discussion of the NK or SK people in this thread funnily enough Crazy

Ignore the uninformed who are short-sighted enough to think that what happens there won`t affect us; instead, listen to the locals who have been living with this on their doorstep for decades; `once in a century opportunity` is their verdict

You’re not happy because it’s Trump are you ? , ok got it

Not at all old girl - as a liberal leftie anti imperialist and anti american filth propaganda believer I'm ecstatic that the far right (after all they have always run America) establishment now concede that they have been wrong about troops and their use of force since WW2 and are withdrawing them without any concessions at all to my socialist hero Kim, well done brother Kim.
What does make me laugh is that you right wing lot seem to pride yourselves on being free thinkers and not being told what to think by the 'establishment'  or MSM when it is as plain as the nose on your face that you are manipulated and repeat parrot fashion whatever you think is Trump's (or the far right in general) position. having read all the usual sites to make sure you are getting it right of course.
This 'war' situation was only ever bought about by Trump's silliness so well done Trump for not starting WW3 on your own. As far as the N Korea situation goes this has done nothing other than massively strengthened Kim and make the easing of sanctions (that the Chinese will take full advantage of very quickly) that much closer. Well done Comrade-Brothers Kim and Xi.

You try to base an argument on `establishment now concede that they have been wrong about troops and their use of force since WW2 and are withdrawing them` Why would you do that, you know it`s not true, NO troops are being withdrawn! Everything that follows such fallaciousness becomes mere SEEEEETHING drivel.

I was willing to give Trump his due but as I said either on this thread or the other, his supporters are so arrogant about it its a case of just saying well done is a patronizing tone. I hope the North Korean people finally see some freedoms because of it.

The trump brigade and the alt right are basically going "ner ner ner" because of this though, and they want to be seen as the grown ups Crazy

Seethe about what - what is there to seethe about? The 'summit' couldn't have been better for anyone that likes to see America's influence in the world diminish - Trump is doing very well at that thank you very much. I fail to see what Trump supporters (and the 'right' in general) have to to shout about regarding the 'deal' done - please elaborate as to what you think Trump has got from Kim and what you think Trump has given N Korea.

Trump supporters are like cult members who blindly follow their leaders rhetoric, funnel funds into making their leader rich and punishing fellow cult members who stray from their leaders orders. Trumps' playbook is straight out of the J. Ron Hubbard, Church of Scientology craziness.

you dont understand do you spyker, we do not concede that the role of American troops since WW2 has been wrong, certainly not in Korea

And the people of S Korea  should be eternally grateful to America and it troops
However it is a great burden for America to bear and cannot be borne forever
Trump is trying to make progress in resolving this

lfc, thanking america alone is massively disrespectful to the sheep from other countries that have laid their lives on america's orders. The world should be equally grateful to UK, French and German troops, along with the other NATO member country troops.

Here we go, good and right thinking people, the latest reason for dismissing the truth! Apparently, just because a few Chit Chatters weren`t suitably sympathetic to the shattered illusions of lefties, The Don`s LONG list of achievements didn`t actually happen!!! You best get back in your `Safe Space For Snowflakes`, SS; I hear they`ll even give you a Participation Trophy

I don't know trilby. But I do know its one of those labels that people conveniently give each other when they want to blame any issue on the other side(not their side).

He does a deal and doesn't even tell his Allies, the very people he is there to help protect wtf is going on and makes unilateral decisions that affect their security

How can any country look to the USA as an ally when President Idiot is in charge? The World is going to have to look to president Xi for stability and leadership. Chump and America would be a laughing stock if the implications that are currently being studies weren't so serious.
