Have you factored in the 5p bag??? You don't think for one moment our friend is gonna rome around town like a common thug?
|
|
By:
what is the correct answer? is this an X2 or X x X = bull**** type question?
if the total cost was £1:10 & the bat coast £1 then subtracting £1 from £1.10 = £0.10 but if the costs of the bat & ball are added then it is £0.05. sh!t that is weird. I always hated maths |
|
By:
Lol see what you did there! easy for me.. the ball cost £0:15p the bat was £1:00 5p extra for the bag these days

By:
32x32...minus 2=30..plus 2=34...3x34=102 add a xero=1020 add the 2x2=4..total 1024.

a guinea for the bat and a shilling for the ball.

If you lose the ball, don't keep the bat in your car. Plod don't like it.

The add squares thing described above isn't correct. Why would adding two numbers always equal the difference? Makes no sense.
Random example: 60^2 = 3600 30^2 = 900 Difference is 2700 60 + 30 = 90, x10 = 900 or 10^2 = 100 5^2 = 25 differnce = 75 (10+5) *10 = 150! |
|
By:
60+30=90 60-30= 30 ....30x90=2700 Back of class and detention for you.
![]() ![]() The total of the two multiplied by the difference between them |

Oh I thought you said just to multiply x10. Well yes that's probably correct..
(X * X) - (Y * Y) = (X + Y) * (X - Y) .. yes that's correct as the +-Y cancels out the dodgy XY. Woops foinavon said that :P I should learn my lesson, I missed out on a school prize by answering a question perfectly well .. I'd misread the question so it was perfect for what I thought I'd read but wrong for what it actually said, which was ***ing annoying as I should have got it right, and won that prize, and all the girl groupies that went with it ;) Does it still hurt? Does it? Huge wasp sting like pain, eating away at my heart? YES! :) |

JC perhaps I could have explained it better in the earlier example and given anoyher example to demonstrate it.![]() |

In my defence I read this late last night when lurking with a severe hangover and couldn't be ar*ed logging on.
I should have re-read it today when my brain was working. But I'm going to be a good boy tonight, there is a chilled bottle of white wine just begging me to drink it and pretend I'm on a foreign holiday but I won't! Or will I. No! (JC * Alcohol) = (Ars*hole ^ 2) ![]() |
