At least 3 of us, very, very clearly and succinctly explaining what free speech is and why we don't have it, why we've never had it previously.....
None of saying it is good or bad, or whether we agree with it, just stating the fact.... but....

No let up, no sign of understanding from crippen or lfc.
Partly because they don't understand, partly because they don't want to, partly because of the "sea-lioning" thing (very good that btw, I hadn't heard of it).
But mostly because they NEVER EVER concede anything on any subject.

Crippen, you're quite objectionable and wrong so often on so many topics, you should simply say the opposite of whatever you assume.

lfc, you should drop the L

It's noticeable how most of the posts from STUDYFORM are little more than attacks on other posters.

sea lioning (also spelled sealioning and sea-lioning) is a type of Internet trolling which consists of bad-faith requests for evidence, or repeated questions, the purpose of which is not clarification or elucidation, but rather an attempt to derail a discussion or to wear down the patience of one's opponent. The troll who uses this tactic also uses fake civility and feigns offense so as to discredit their target.[1][2][3][4] The term arises from a 2014 edition of the webcomic Wondermark, where a character expresses an unsubstantiated dislike of sea lions and a passing sea lion repeatedly asks the character to explain

I see the issue of the holocaust was brought up earlier.

Denying the holocaust is not as far as I know illegal in the UK.

Although I'm sure that powers behind the scenes would prevent any investigation being brought that would bring any part of the story into doubt.

With regard to holocaust deniers, many are labelled such for merely questioning the numbers quoted.
Which more or less puts an end to any debate on the holocaust.

With the above in mind, we can see that making it illegal in the UK to deny the holocaust isn't necessary.

oh I don't know -

but then 'they don't like it up 'em'  as us bigots say.

I wonder what will happen to the forumites who side with these naughty people in masks and cloaks and don't like
any criticism of their cult?  Do you think they will be 'invited' to join them?

The "powers behind the scenes".
"questioning the numbers" - well let's edge towards doing that, shall we?

it is strange how there has been a huge growth in one group residing in the UK and the growth of antisemitism at the same time

it even tells them to practice that in their good book

not that I know anything

I feel it would be appropriate to put the question again for those who might have come in late.
This is what lfc1971 is referring to:

Here is a question,if we didn't have free speech in Britain , in the past and in our lifetimes, what was it not permissible to say in Britain in the past?
By:
lfc1971
When: 12 Apr 18 13:37
now detraveller, perhaps you might have a go at answering, study has failed miserably and resorted to bad language
By:
detraveller
When: 12 Apr 18 13:43
Lfc, I already told you I couldn't think of anything other than the holocaust, which you clearly said i was wrong in(and i didn't contest that). It was stupid of me to get into the debate without knowing what free speech means. So I asked.

I hope it makes you feel great that you won the argument with me. But if you are not willing to define a term you used in your question, how can you expect someone to take you seriously?

As for someone resorting to bad language, I would understand that. I know not to get involved in a discussion with you but sadly I did. And am probably paying for it.

if you cant understand words there is no point in reading words
