David Lammy, MP for Tottenham, said he is "deeply worried" about London's rise in violent crime - particularly in his area.
"There is no single cause, but there has been a big spike in both gun crime and knife crime across London," he said.
"Certainly my constituency finds itself at the epicentre of that. there are real issues about a lack of resources."
Blaming a lack of resources rather than the thugs themselves. Typical leftist bull****.

You have to understand many of these poor chaps are saddled with being fatherless and have to struggle with lack of any male leadership and correction within said family.
as you see I am very balanced in my assesment of the situation You should feel sorry for them having to resort to drug dealing, knifing and shooting - also gang membership(having a lack of self respect & feeling lonely). you lot lack any empathy at all. |

Black people of our age are disenchanted with the third and fourth generation black kids. As was said on "Being Blacker" BBC2 documentary the youth of today have no respect for their elders, their culture or the colour of their skin. Same goes for me there's plenty of white scummy chavs. However I would say the decent youth of all colours outnumber the bad ones, sadly it's only the bad ones we hear about.

Would add it is fairly safe to assume cuts in policing hasn't helped, mind you it didn't stop four vans loads sitting outside a pub the Chelsea lads were drinking in on Sunday. Surely one van would do, given our age and state of our knees and lack of athleticism even if it had kicked off with Spurs it was never going to be a fast moving crime

Lammy and others point to police resources and 'education'. Cobblers. Plod react to crime, they can't stop it from happening. It's not their job. Ok increase their presence but do we really think these sick bruvvers will be put off? Education starts in the home. It's not up to Govt to tell people not to carry a knife or a gun (unless one is fishing or a gamekeeper). It's Tottenham not Dartmoor... |

as far as I know, the rise has coincided with the removal of stop and search due to a few black people getting the hump about being stopped and searched. but clearly the numbers of knives and guns has gone up since they removed this protocol in london. I say bring it back. start stopping and searching anyone who fits the bill of young and black without a job. the police need to not give a sh*t about "racism" and tackle this because it is becoming a major epidemic now and it can be helped by removing weapons from the streets and locking up anyone found carrying a weapon. we've got enough police, now get to work chaps. |

somebody has suggested a curfew. anyone under the age of 18 out after 9pm is told to go home or they are arrested. we need a major major government intervention to stop this. law is the only way to prevent this from happening

the police also need to focus on removing weapons from the street. stop and search is the start of that. use intelligence to locate guns and major knives. it should be the top priority in the country

theres an easy way of solving this, just bring the death penalty back . If the death penalty really worked the US would have a very low murder rate in the states that have it. |
