With the average age now holding steady around the 54 mark from a cross section of forumites I think it is safe to say that Chit Chat is full of old timers. No surprises there.

The average age is fairly predictable I would have thought as the vast majority of BF punters are the old school type, mainly interested in horse racing firstly which is an industry that younger generations have little or no interest in whatsoever. The packed crowds that you see at say The July Course in Newmarket on a Friday night for example are there for a pi$$ up and for the concert afterwards, most of them won't have seen a horse all evening. I have four nephews all in their mid-late 20's and they wouldn't know which end of a horse to feed the sugar cube to, only one of them likes a punt and that is strictly only on football and on line poker.
