What's interesting there Denzil, are the studies sponsored by the milk industry to confirm the claims that drinking milk supplies the body with calcium.
When the results of the tests confirmed nothing of the sort. Their excuse for the greater bone loss in the group of postmenstrual women who drank the three glasses of milk per day, was the higher intake of protein. It's known that eating protein makes the body acidic, this is neutralised by using calcium pulled out of the bones. Hence the greater bone loss in the test group who drank the skimmed milk. Yet they still tell us to drink milk for its calcium content which is supposed to give us strong bones and teeth, which is completely unfounded. |

The white blood cell puss levels and bacteria were something I had no idea about the only time I'd heard that mentioned before was when I debated an infected tooth with the dentist.
What I'm still unsure of is whether to ditch Whey protein (I've got about 14KG left ) I can't find the right sort of answer as most info is based on Casein and as you know Milk protein is 20% Whey. There are positive searches but until you get right into it you don't find out who and why if you know what I mean. |

On a video I've got on Colin Campbell has just said "we don't need whey" that's good enough for me.

I wish you both all the very best with your recoveries, Case & Smirn.
One of my aunts recommended Chris Woollams to me when I was diagnosed with head & neck six years ago. First link's for his website, second forone of his books I have and the third seems quite new as I only noticed it last week. https://www.canceractive.com/index.aspx https://www.canceractive.com/cancer-active-page-link.aspx?n=3211 https://www.chriswoollamshealthwatch.com/ I can highly recommend him to anyone with cancer. He sends out a very informative newsletter if you sign up. |

Just goes to show with the Pat Smullen news in horseracing world that this disease discriminates against no-one .
Pretty sure he will have had a fairly strict diet to follow becos of his profession and yet although they haven't used the big C word as yet in his case its fairly certain that's what it is . Case you did the right thing in going when you did becos as soon as you can catch it gives you a better chance of surviving it -in my case I was lucky -if you can ever be lucky with this- in that I caught my initial bowel cancer at stage 1 after looking up my symptoms (blood in my stools and urgent need to go coming on from nowhere causing a cupla near misses/accidents). When talking to my mates they were just saying things like I had probs just cut myself wiv loo paper etc when wiping but I knew it was more than that so went online and looked up my symptoms which pointed me very much towards bowel cancer so off to docs I went for the obligatory finger up the bum routine and he gave me the great news that he cudnt feel anything but wud send me for a colonoscopy just to be safe - and thank fook he did cos that procedure allowed them to catch it early . My tumour was in lower rectal area so again I was lucky in that they were able to cut out the tumour and still have just enough room to tie the bowel back together wiv ileostomy bag reversal some 16mths later - from there whilst I was recovering from that op I developed gallstones and becos of serious nature of my previous illness it was decided they take the gallbladder out. So only then did they then find the tumours that had spread to my liver as a secondary cancer and further scans proved I had not one but two tumours in my liver as well as a growth in my stomach on left hand side which showed up as non cancerous on PET scan which is a head scratcher as it is behaving wiv all the characteristics of being cancerous. So at present I'm now undergoing extensive chemo whereby I have to undergo 6 sessions at present which involves a full day at hospital every 2-3 weeks then being sent home wiv a canister attached to a hickman line which drip feeds another drug into me for next 48hrs before a district nurse pops along to detach it all -currently due to happen to me as I type this later on today. All I can say is to vouch for what Casemoney said earlier and that is to go and get yourself checked out early if ya body is giving you tell tale signs that things aren't as they shud be cos it cud save you a whole lotta bother further down the line and don't be afraid to open up to friends and family etc cos a problem shared is a problem halved and all that |

A stat I heard on the radio yesterday was that the NHS costs 88% of income tax paid.
And 10% of NHS costs are down to diabetes. (90% of it is type 2). Came from a politician, so would need to be checked. |

If anyone uses one of those self test kits and blood is found in their poo, there's no need to panic.
Traces of blood in poo can be causes by many things. |
|
By:
"poo" - that's what really does my head in with these testing kits. Why not "faeces"?

or "stool" ... even "doo-doo"'s better!

Yes trilby I agree.
The doctor gave me some tablets once for piles, he told me to put them in my back passage. I did exactly that, and for all the good it did I might as well have stuck them up my arse. |

....disease discriminates against no-one
you don't see many heads of state or members of royalty dying of the disease |
|
By:
2 outta the last 3 serving kings/queens suggests otherwise
![]() ![]() ![]() - despite their priveliges they are not immune - plenty other cases as well not so high up the pecking order as well as press stories being surpressed by the hierarchy of others#justsayinglike |
|
By:
^^^^ Oh silly me, I should've checked the chain-smoking monarchs of 60 plus years ago. The only thing thats being suppressed by the 'hierarchy' is the cure

Members of state and Royalty are not generally mugs, and probably follow the health advice given by experts a lot closer than would cannon fodder.
With all the billions of pounds and dollars that's gone into cancer research you'd expect better results than they've achieved. So where does the money go? A large chunk must go into developing new drugs to combat the disease. So that in itself isn't much of an incentive to publicise the causes and try to prevent it in the first place. |

You think so Doc and here was I thinking on a Saturday Liz would be of the sofa, **** hanging out of her gob, having stuffed her face on Iceland sausages. Watching Ant and Dec like the rest of us ![]() |

By:
ufcdan, you only have to look at them to see what I mean.
Take the Royals. How many of them are even overweight let alone obese? https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=the+royal+family&id=3E07986F160D5707B432B743252CE84E42FFFDE8&FORM=IQFRBA Compare them with average working class cattle. |

Of course Crippen when they have a cold its on the national news and bulletins are given out every day , the reason they live longer and have less disease is because they have endless wealth and the best food and doctors money can by, plus they have less stress as well
|
|
By:
Would imagine they drink alcohol most days also eat meat everyday as well and lots of it,makes you wonder if stress is a major contributor as the most strenuous thing she does is pick her nose and wipe her arse..
