Education and intelligence are not the same thing although intelligence facilitates education.
Brassy has no scientific knowledge at all. Not blaming him for that but he shouldn't pretend he has.

You may be surprised to learn the surface of the moon can get extremely hot, as much as 127C.

Regarding the post.
You don't transfer temperature you transfer heat which then causes a change of temperature.
You can transfer heat by means of radiation but the suits are insulated to prevent that.
The radiation in the Van Allen belts is electromagnetic radiation which passes through the suits and the bodies inside. The equipment is shielded to reduce that as much as possible.
This radiation passes through the suit and is not contained in it and is unlikely to affect the heat insulation of the suits. The astronauts will not freeze to death because they have passed through the van Allen belts.

From www.spaceanswers.com :

"Over the course of a full lunar day and night, the temperature on the Moon can vary wildly, from around +200 to -200 degrees Celsius (+392 to -328 degrees Fahrenheit), so it’s natural to wonder how lunar astronauts survived this huge temperature variation. The first thing to know is that all trips on to the Moon’s surface were carefully planned for lunar dawn, to ensure the surface hadn’t had time to heat up fully to its daytime temperature. It is also important to think about how heat can be transferred to astronauts on the lunar surface. There are three ways heat can transfer and only two are possible on the Moon. The first is radiation, both directly from the Sun and from the Sun’s reflection on the surface. The astronauts’ spacesuits were designed to reflect almost 90% of the light that reaches it, so very little heat would have transferred to the astronauts. The second is by conduction from the direct contact their feet had with the surface. This is also an ineffective process as regolith on the lunar surface doesn’t conduct heat well and the astronauts’ boots were insulated, slowing down conduction even further. This shows that even though huge temperature variations occur on the Moon, lunar astronauts were never actually exposed to them."

All interesting stuff! Happy

Now the REAL question:  did the Nazis go the moon in the 1940's and find aliens on the far side!

Many different scientists have bounced lasers off reflectors left by moon astronauts - just watched Professor Brian Cox doing so on YouTube. Proof positive the moon landings were real for me.

Hi Terry, yes also heard about the south pole one. I listened to an interview with William Tompkins on youtube. His cv seems impressive and says he worked with Nasa on space programmes, but some of the stuff he comes out with sounds absolutely crazy (the apollo astronauts saw aliens & alien ships on the moon! Aliens, as you say, based in the south pole; and aliens 'assisted' Nasa with their space programmes!) Just hard to believe this sort of stuff. Oh, he wrote a book on it all, so maybe that's the reason, them dollars! :)

Someone asked NASA why the moon rocks were slightly porous?
NASA answered that the moon was originally made out of green cheese, and that the calcium in the cheese turned hard and shank, which left the rocks white and in that state.

I bet the doubters don't believe that either.

From Kaysing's wiki site kindly posted by Dr Crippen

"The guy is wacky. His position makes me feel angry. We spent a lot of time getting ready to go to the moon. We spent a lot of money, we took great risks, and it's something everybody in this country should be proud of."
Jim Lovell.

Kaysing trained as neither an engineer nor a scientist, he was an author with a book to sell.

Dave1357 sums it up nicely.

Foin -I never suggested the moon had an earth like atmosphere ,my trouble is the ability to control such an object at the speed quoted , the fact they had to blast off the orbiter and then stabilise ,the system failed on a11 and it was allegedly manually landed , the systems control unit was primitive and the ability to land manually (lfc incorrectly quoted a prototype failure test flight) ,also the temp differential the orbiter was subjected to seems to be hard to find , I conclude that the technology to do what was claimed was in its very early stages and untested , the fuel mixes and systems the crafts stability control systems ,ect ect  not to mention the anomalous info regarding the communication time from moon to earth , the systems failed very quickly and they have us believe a craft travelling at a ridiculous speed was asking earth for help as what fault codes meant whilst suffering a min of a 2.5 sec delay ,and prob nearer 5 by the time the signal was relayed from the lander to the orbiter from there to Australia and then via landline to America ,all the time it's travelling at thousands of feet a second ,it would be worse than using atr for in running . And bye the way it's not electromagnetic radiation it's radioactively charged particles trapped in a magnetic field . Cheers .

"The guy is wacky.''

It's easier to ridicule the person who is presenting the evidence, than is to dismantle whatever they have to say. We see examples of that on here every day.

Here's another with some very relevant points to make.

Both the Russians and the Americans had landed probes on the moon prior to the manned landing so it wasn't as if they were doing it for the first time. We know that Eagle very nearly ran out of fuel which would have meant a crash landing. Lunar gravity is much less than on earth so it would take less energy to slow a given mass than on earth where the failure happened.

The Van Allen belts consist of charged particles such as protons and electrons captured from the solar wind. They were produced in the sun from the fusion reactions taking place there but I don't think they can be described as radioactive in themselves. Electrons are quantum particles and have a wave function so can be described as either. protons are also sub atomic particles but I agree the wave particle duality is more complex (and beyond my grade level at my time of life).

Lol ,think some of the  stuff in them belts was cosmic  radiation not just solar ,and there is a atmosphere on on the moon ,not comparable to here but it exists ,in fact the recent mission to the moon which culminated in a rather bizarre destruction of the craft was I think investigating the moons atmosphere .

Ralph Rene is another self-taught conspiracy theorist who has a self-published book to promote.
I listened to the first 14 minutes and he throws out some points regarding his observations of photos and videos and the conclusions he drew but he hasn't at this stage shown the material he is referring to. It's a long video and I shall have to find time to watch it but not now. I don't think posting links to hours of youtube videos is a proper way to make your point, it's like fundamental Christians posting up reams of bible script which nobody bothers to read. Where are YOUR arguments in your own words.

There is cosmic radiation everywhere. it is not radioactive material.

To say there is a lunar atmosphere is clutching at straws, it is negligible for all practical purposes. There is likely to be some gaseous emissions from the crust which are quickly lost to space but not a proper atmosphere as on Earth or Mars.

So here is the truth! I know it to be the truth becuase I was told it in 1999 by a Russian Cab driver in New York after the Lewis Holyfield fight. He told me that the KGB told his so that is Gospel!

Anyway. The moon landings were real but the photo's were taken in a studio in Arkansas!

Philippe Lheureux – French author of Lumières sur la Lune.[29] An English language edition was published in 2003, Moon Landings: Did NASA Lie? He said that astronauts did land on the Moon, but to stop other states from benefiting from scientific information in the real photos, NASA published fake images.

Something to think about.

If there was no atmosphere on the moon why did NASA bother sending a mission LADEE (lunar atmosphere and dust environment explorer  ) ?   they should have checked with CC phurst .... Could have saved them the bother ,tbh if it has a gravity it should have an atmosphere , and they suspect it did have at one time ... What happened to it ? Maybe  it's what's going to happen to earths ,maybe there is still much to be learned ,problem is there is too many plastic professors like Brian cox ,read all the handouts ,sat through the mind numbing lectures and completed the dot to dot exams , I doubt he has ever came close to coming up with anything really original or questioned anything he has been told , just a big empty anorak IMO ,and now a bbc puppet ,have never listened to anyone less convincing talking about anything from the climate change to the reason we have tides but then he is the one coping 300k of bbc money a year and getting sackfuls of gongs ,would like to see his intelligence put to the test in a problem solving under pressure task or some other test

So we still have no technical or mechanical reason why they couldn't have put men on the moon in 1969.

They had the scientific and engineering knowledge to do so.
