Put your hand on the Bible and swear you walked on the moon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgeLscTavAk I see. |
By:
was that the one where the GOD fearing spaceman refused to do it?

I have never seen this post befor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgeLscTavAk makes you think |

There are tapes of people thrusting the bible under the noses of several of them and challenged them to swear on it but getting turned down
On of them did take up the challenge and swear on it, but that doesn't mean anything in light of the others who wouldn't. They all made fortunes out of books and appearances, which has to be noted. |

There was a programme on the discovery channel about this, a reflection of someone having a **** on the moon !!

The American astronauts were ...American
That means they were Christian , not like the commie Russians . Now that means they were not prepared to swear on the Bible, not because they were fearful of telling a lie . But because they were fearful of disrespecting something holy and trivialising something sacred . Its a form of superstition if you like , never swear on someones life or your own life for a similar reason ...some people of corse can't understand that . You have to understand the American astronauts, and people . |
By:
Jesus himself says (when speaking about oaths) 'let your yes be yes and your no be no'. Don't swear on anything.
The point is did the astronauts explain this reason or not? PS I don't think those tin foil spaceships got even close.. |
By:
Thanks injera I never knew that.
I only remember being when young , primary school age , . saying something like I swear on someone's life ..and she told me never to swear on anyone's life That it was wrong to do so. Even at that age i found that interesting and never would do it for all the following years . So I believe it's a similar thing for the American astronauts , even thought they may not know the religious teaching . |
By:
* it was my mum who told me, I wouldn't have listened to my teacher : )
|
By:
One of them swore on the Bible.
|
By:
Yes Dr Cripen, there's always one bad apple .
|
By:
How would they get on in a court room when if they were asked to swear on the Bible and refused?
|
By:
Why were so many murdered, who would not go along with the cover up?
|
By:
lfc - I did jury service and became very uncomfortable at swearing on the Bible.
What puzzles me is that man has explored and discovered new lands. Everytime we returned. With the moon for 50 years no man has ever gone close. International Space station is 240 miles away. The Moon is 238 000 miles away. ![]() |
By:
Too many people would have had to be "in on it" for it to have been fake.
The desperation for people to prove the moon landings never happened puzzles me. It's yet another thing the internet has to answer for, imo. They went to the moon, it happened, many 1000's of eminent and qualified people worked on the missions. What is the root of the opening post assertion, terry? It wouldn't be the Mail would it? I'm assuming there's a picture of this "reflection" somewhere. Doesn't it occur to someone it could be a doctored image of some sort, rather than proof that man never left Earth? |
By:
In a court room it is not a trivial thing, it is acceptable I suppose in certain circumstances .
It would not convince me or anyone else of course if someone chose not to ...for the reasons above Not for some stupid religious reasons if being of a different faith , but for good reasons , reasons as above where they have been well brought up .' As the American astronauts certainly were. |
By:
It states we are an enclosed planet, as we can not get past the earths magnetic field, to try to explore other planets, period.
|

Important people have been fooled for thousands of years. Kings, Queens, PMs and Presidents have misled their people for eternity. Mostly into foolish wars.
How many people have flown throught he radiation belt since the moon landings? If it was easy 50 years ago why not now? |
By:
I agree with Studyform. It happened and there were scientific experiments set up at least one of which is still in use today.
I too have done jury service and I declined to swear on the bible because I am an atheist an would regard it as hypocritical to do so. |
By:
They transmitted a live film of the view of the earth from the spaceship as it was supposedly going away towards the moon.
To make the earth look small they moved the camera back from the porthole so the outline of the earth was formed by the edge of the porthole in the dark. Yet the astronauts said that the camera was pressed against the porthole. Then an arm or something appeared at the edge of the picture, which gave the game away. Very funny. |
By:
^^That's on one of those videos where the astronaut takes the hump as they quiz him about it.
|
By:
If it was easy 50 years ago why not now?
It's no more difficult now than it was then, Sir Isaac Newton developed the mathematical tools needed 400 years ago. The reason is cost, it was considered justifiable then for political reasons to be the first to achieve a moon landing. When the money was cut back they stopped doing it. |
By:
Dr. Crippen. there is no mystery of course if you have done something so glorious and splendid as to walk on the moon . And then find that people don't believe you it might be annoying .
|
By:
There are SO many "inexplicable" things about all the moon landings.
They are all either quite easily explained or not "things" in the first place. I just read the Newsweek article about this... It seems ONE Youtube user claims a VERY blurry image is something which proves the whole thing a hoax and he told the Daily Mail quelle surprise. It's like a reverse Loch Ness monster thing. (blurry, iffy picture establishing some old nonsense). |
By:
A large percentage of people can't grasp how it could be possible .
Well it would be impossible for most of them...they are too stupid. |

![]() Easy to doctor images nowadays. Doctor the photos post on the internet and hey you've got a following. |
By:
You do know that the wright brothers managed to fly over a 100 years ago
They were bycycle mechanics . Who would believe such a thing ? |
By:
They didn't believe it in Africa ., and some parts of England .

i wonder if area 51 was where it was filmed, and thats why its so secretive, The alien thing could be a red herring

STUDYFORM - I'm with you 100% in all this.
Sort of to do with this - one of our regular musicians is a member of the flat earth society (yes still going apparently) and believes absolutely EVERYTHING is a conspiracy. But when he said that the sun is NOT 93,000,000 miles away from earth, but only 2,000 miles, I started laughing because I thought he was joking. He wasn't joking and got annoyed with me for not taking him seriously. I thought after that, best to keep away from the subject. Strange really, as he's a really nice chap and excellent sax player. We've come to a sort of unspoken agreement not to discuss anything slightly technical as it would be very easy to get into a flaming row with him, so subject best left well alone! |
By:
I'll ask again, how many people have travelled through the radiation belts since the Apollo missions? They start at about 600 miles. The ISS is 240 miles up.
|
By:
There hasn't been any need since Apollo 17. There is talk of a manned mission to Mars but it won't be for a while yet. Who knows, China or India might consider visiting the moon before then.
We just have to wait and see. |
By:
I'm not worried about that, if you can tell me any mechanical or technical reason why we could not send someone to the moon then I might listen .
|
By:
* not worried about the radiation belt, or doctored or misunderstood photos etc
A technical and mechanical reason is all I am interested in. |
By:
Not sure how many people have travelled to the moon but 12 have claimed to have walked on it.
I think they were all through the Apollo missions Injera so the answer will be none but I think that cost comes into that as far smaller rockets required for unmanned missions. If all a sham then must be thousands in on the secret but none spilling the beans. |
By:
I hope to see it in my lifetime.

mokegibboni,
It's the rise of everyone having a 'voice' and feeling the need to use it! A little information - or in many cases mis-information, goes a long way. A bloke came to my house a few years ago came to fit a water meter in my house. I made him a cup of coffee and we were chatting, then he started going on about the Illuminati and pulled newspaper clippings out of his pockets together with pictures of the (soon to start) London Olympics' tickets. Apparently there was some sort of symbol on them - as with many paper currencies around the world apparently. He stopped talking to me about it and called ME brainwashed when I didn't join in the conspiracy theory and asked what seemed a reasonable question, which was: If there are people running everything, living forever, in charge of all governments, from other planets or whatever it is they the illuminati is supposed to be, then why do they feel the need to advertise the fact on Olympics tickets, or anywhere else come to that? |
By:
would love to believe it study, however you have to remember the people working on nasa would have had the same feed as us,only a few at the top were in the know,it looked very real at the time but now there are to many things that don't add up no it wasn't the mail and yes there is a photo clearly showing a young man in the background, but in fairness yes also could be a fake
