How do you deal with a mate who is racist?

My mate down the pub clearly has a problem and i don't know how to deal with this guy. Some of his views make me feel physical sick. I just don't know how to deal with him.
He goes on and on about Ethnics doing this, Ethnics doing that, Ethnics are to blame for this and that. What the hell is an Ethnic?
His main point is that the prisons are full of Ethnics and Catholics so in his eyes that makes them all bad.

Phorum please help me educate this moron because i am at my wits end!

These numbers are provided by the House of Commons.

Compared to the population as a whole, the non-white population is
over represented accounting for 12% of the general population and
25% of the prison population at December 2016.

The numbers for Muslims are worse than above, 4% of the population(allegedly), 15% of the prison population.

It is best not to have friends who claim not to be racist, or politically correct people.

Its like this, politically correct people, or anti racists cannot be trusted.
They are as merciless as the Nazis and communists.
Be very wary of friends like that, its too much trouble to ward off their influence.

By:
casemoney
When: 21 Oct 17 14:21
Every Muslim is required to pray five times each day
Explanation: This applies to both male and female Muslims. The prayers come at
prescribed times:
1 Just after dawn and before sunrise
2. At mid-day
3. About three and one-half hours after the midday prayer and before a
reasonable time from sunset
4. Just after sunset
5. About one and one-half hours after the sunset prayer and before dawn

They should all move to northern scandinavia, for half the year they'd be able to knock off the old praying and do something more useful, like get good at Sonic on the Nintendo DS.

It's a tricky one, Steve. Obviously he has qualities, otherwise you wouldn't have him as your mate. But a racist should keep it to himself, it's not acceptable in polite company, and it brings down your own reputation. How to educate him? That has to be your ongoing project, work on him without him knowing. Slip a copy of the New European inside his Racing Post! Say, "Hey, have you seen the Basquiat that went for $110 million," and "Hey, isn't it embarrassing for the UK that no other EU country wants to be in our xenophobic Brexit gang?" Hopefully, you can convert him, so that he joins the right side of history. And what better service could you do for a mate?

Steve, do you believe ALL races are the same and above reproach?

I think they differ, with strengths and weaknesses. None of us are equal.

Thanks for the advice lads, really appreciate it.

This guy was in the pub again this evening. Spouting his mouth off as usual. Something about what he had seen on Tv and comparing Asian youth to Hyenas. No idea what he was going on about to be honest. Trying to ignore him from now on.

Perhaps you could make a list of the good things that different cultures have brought to Britain Steve
Of course you may think he wouldn't listen to your good sense ,

But then again it's not good to lecture people , some people are sensitive and are more likely to listen to facts.
Make a mental note , of all the good things that you can think off and mention them casually to your friend . and all his silly fantasies will vanish ,
I am sure of that.

What is racist? Who remembers the comedy 'Love They Neighbour'. Racism is political correctness gone crazy. If its racist to criticise a black man etc, why is it not racist if a white man gets stick? Nothing wrong with golly wogs, imo. Saw Black n White minstrel show many times as a kid. It was a family show. No offence. Ridiculous in school nowadays bah bah black sheep has been banned. Why can they go overboard on St Patricks Day but St George celebrations get frowned upon? Martin Luther King said: 'I have a dream'. It came true, over-protection and touchy odd word now. As a child, my parents neighbours came over from the West Indies and their children were my best friends. Still see them today and all's fine

Jesus wept.  Where to start...

Racism is political correctness gone crazy. If its racist to criticise a black man etc, why is it not racist if a white man gets stick?

Nah, it isn't; it's discriminating on grounds of race.  And it's not racist to criticise a black man, is it?  If you're criticising him because he's black, then clearly this is unfair and idiotic, which is the racist part.

Nothing wrong with golly wogs, imo. Saw Black n White minstrel show many times as a kid. It was a family show. No offence.

Ridiculous in school nowadays bah bah black sheep has been banned.

Has it?  Where?

Why can they go overboard on St Patricks Day but St George celebrations get frowned upon?

Who?  The Irish?  Who's frowning on celebrating St George's Day?

As a child, my parents neighbours came over from the West Indies and their children were my best friends. Still see them today and all's fine

What does this have to do with anything?  You sound like Big Ron.

I'm guessing you're 60+, have never left the country and are hopelessly out of touch with reality.

I'll try to answer your questions, Rob

Not racist to critise a black man, is it? Well, things often get twisted into calling a remark racism

Where has bah bah black sheep been banned? Think you'll find many schools now adopt bah bah white sheep

Who's frowning on St George's Day? My father is loathe to put up his flag coz of the friction it causes

What does having black best friends got to do with anything? Point it I don't discriminate and embrace all nationalities

Guessing you are over 60 and never left the country?

I am nowhere near 60 and travelled extensively especially all over Europe

Racism? We just need to stick up for ourselves, sometimes

At my nephews school they made them all dress up as someone historical.
It's a very diverse (political correct term) area and school.
One kid blacked up to be martin Luther king.
No one gave a sh.  It.
Crappy media looking for headlines and idiots wishing to promote themselves are the ones
creating fury and turmoil.

The term Racism has come to mean anything someone who isn't white, doesn't like.

IMO those who cry racism and your 'racist' mate aren't much different, just complainers.
