the irony is why was Studyform complaining about posts being removed,

and when it was pointed out that he had reported other people himself this didn,t seem to bother him in the slightest.

studyform likes to decide who can post, what can be posted , who he can report.

why does he think that is a good thing, and then complain about posts being removed? and when another poster says ah, didnt you report me he manages to convince himself that it was deserved
i don,t know.

Couldn't give a t0ss tbh.

Idiots like lfc and and troublemakers like akabula and the 'reporters' can keep the place to themselves.
You all deserve each other.
By:

You're a 'reporter' by your own admission.
By:
STUDYFORM
When: 11 Oct 17 23:30
Just the once akabula, yes. I told you beforehand.
And it was purely on the basis that you wouldn't dare to speak to someone like that to their face.
And it was after I asked you to stop several times.

Hardly the same thing as anything I posted about is it?
Never mind that, you can twist facts and make stuff up to suit your personal thrill seeking if you like, rather than accept or agree that the report function is being abused.

Anyway, it gives you loads of chance to fill your ancient boots trying to have a go at me doesn't it?
By:
akabula
When: 11 Oct 17 23:39
Just the once still makes you a 'reporter'.
BTW as someone who doesn't press the report button I did question why people felt the need.

i think youve just found out aka, seems a decent reason having given somebody a warning

but the problem is the excessive reporting, and seemingly needless
reporting of posts that cannot be considered to be offensive

how can you follow a debate if some posts are needlessly removed

maybe its just somebody having a laff, or has a grudge, but surely
its not needed, and if it were your posts you may not feel the same
By:
STUDYFORM
When: 11 Oct 17 23:46
As a last resort, because there is no other recourse as there might be in the real world.
I'm sure you trod in dog poo at least once, but it doesn't make you someone who treads in some every time you see some does it?

So without splitting hairs and arguing for the sake of it, despite your claim that I'm just like the fools I'm complaining about, you should be able to accept that there are serial reporters who are doing their thing to disrupt the forum, to have a larf of some sort and because they are the reason computers shouldn't exist, without putting your thumb to your nose and whining "You did it too, you're a reporter" like a 7-year-old in the playground.

@anxious he didn't give me a warning he asked me to retract what I said.
Agreed regarding the needless reporting but surely everybody bar a few think like that.

You reported me SF. Stop trying to justify it.
You threatened me with violence but I didn't report that.

Jeez anxious you wouldn't need to be Sherlock Holmes to have fathomed that out.
I don't buy into the 'banned for nothing' simply because I've had numerous posts removed but no ban.
At some stage a moderator must be making a judgement on the posts. Maybe it depends on his position regarding the subject matter that results in the bans.

No i was told that there is nobody moderating the forum , they just rely on reported posts

The bans won't have been simply because someone reported your posts but as I said because a moderator took a view on them.
Take your word for not being justified.

I've no doubt it is exactly what someone, well a few people actually, wants, Donny.

What are you talking about "trying to justify it"?
You were rank out of order, and I asked you to stop or I'll report you, (see above), you didn't, so I did what I said. I'm not justifying anything, I'd do it again if you were out of order, you are perfectly at liberty to do the same.
BUT and I keep saying and you are deliberately missing the point, so as to rile and argue, like you usually do, it isn't the same as randomly reporting posts and threads to get people banned, is it?

You would rather argue and disagree with everything I put on here than agree with it. Even if it means avoiding every question.

Here you go in simple, easy to understand words:

THERE ARE PEOPLE REPORTING POSTS AND THREADS, EVEN THE MOST INNOCUOUS, INOFFENSIVE POSTS, SPECIFICALLY TO GET PEOPLE BANNED.
THEY DO IT ANONYMOUSLY AND WITH SEVERAL FORUM USER NAMES WHICH ARE NOT USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.
THEY ARE RUINING THE FORUM
THEY ARE ABUSING THE REPORT FACILITY
THE PEOPLE RUNNING THE FORUM MORE OR LESS BLINDLY OBEY REPORTS
THESE PEOPLE ARE LOVING THEIR WORK

Anything else you type is largely irrelevant. Except you are being cantankerous and also trying to annoy me.

No i was told that there is nobody moderating the forum , they just rely on reported posts

I've had dozens of SNP posts removed so why wasn't I banned if that's the case?
The moderators might not be proactive in monitoring the forum but they'll be reactive to the comments reported.
By:
STUDYFORM
When: 12 Oct 17 00:05
Exactly, they react by removing them and as in some cases their grasp of grammar is shaky or in the case of an extra special complaint by a reporter, if a 'buzz word' or phrase can be picked out, the result will be a ban,

SF we all know that however simply reporting posts isn't enough to get someone banned.
At some stage a moderator must be making a decision on the content.

tbf, it didn't take much ruining.
Also, I can't think of many more offensive things than IDS.

If the reporter can make enough of a case, OR enough of them get together (and they DO) to report the same post, than a ban ensues

I wrote a fairly ordinary post about the TV weathergirl, not offensive at all, at about 9.30am yesterday, by about 11.15 I had an email warning me and mentioning several complaints about it.
1. There's no-one much about at 9.30am
2. It wasn't worthy of report or nasty in any way.
3. The thread was then removed too
