They've had since April, odd waiting til now to release pictures.
By:
saw this yesterday, would have to have a mental health issue and probably needs help.
By:
yes exactly, women shouldn't be out wandering around on the pavements
this wouldn't happen in saudi ![]() |

Putney Bridge ?
That's Ken Masters stomping ground, isn't it ? |
By:
If they have had the pic since April are you telling me that he hasn't run over the bridge since? wtf!
By:
the Bus driver deserves an award for swerving round her in a split second imo
By:
Yes, agree, RLKingPunter, bus driver deserves a medal.
By:
Some discussion on YouTube about her sticking a leg out towards him to try and trip him up.
Seems viable at first, but he clearly runs towards her and maybe that was a defensive move on her part. |
By:
Luckily there was no cyclist to the bus's right.
It is very puzzling. Presumably the jogger has issues but why release the video now after three months? If they want help tracing the jogger, why not blow up the clearest still image they have? Surely his face will have been captured by other cctv cameras. |
By:
If the jogger was my dad, I wouldn't be able to recognize him from the CCTV picture they've released!
By:
her leg coming out was a reflex motion because you could see his body turning into her.
and if she did put her leg out first, which she didn't, the jogger would have reacted in a strange way to have pushed her so quickly and forcefully then carry on jogging without looking back as if women going around kicking men every day was a common thing. If he doesn't have mental issues then it may be possible that he knew who she was, and maybe the police have waited 4 months because they've been waiting to catch him on CCTV again ? |
By:
At very slow speed, it does look like the incident may have started earlier. The woman seems to stop and turn slightly before the jogger is near: possibly to get out of the way; possibly to shout something; possibly I'm wrong. That does not excuse him shoving her over -- there was plenty of space to his left.
By:
Her leg goes out as a result of him pushing her not before imo. Inexcusable and he should be prosecuted for reckless endangerment.
By:
On the news last night when they showed this they said the jogger was running back about 20 mins later. The woman was being attended to by some people helping her and when she seen him she shouted at him, but he ignored her and just ran on again. And apparently he has not jogged that same route since the incident so no more CCTV of him.
pixie "If the jogger was my dad, I wouldn't be able to recognize him from the CCTV picture they've released!" from that picture somebody must know who he is (?) |
By:
And amazing reaction and vision by the bus driver, considering he was on the 'other side' of the bus.
By:
good news the jogger lost six pounds in weight? shyting himself, waiting for the knock on the door from the plod.
By:
The picture I saw in the paper, Tell Dell, was rotten!
By:
He's probably in Thailand now
By:
Could be done for attempted murder.
By:
did anyone check if it was George Osborne?
By:
it's reckless endangerment in the USA. In Scotland it's culpable and reckless conduct. In England and Wales there doesn't appear to be an applicable law.
By:
he's csrtainly got issues - he clearly was annoyed with her walking on the wrong side of the pavement - unclear whether she might have said something to influence his decision - she didn't trip him though .
Bus driver did really well |

Blakey be proud

Corbyn looking a tad guilty here.

She didn't do anything. People making up all sorts of excuses here. What he did was bad, very bad ( in Trumpspeak ). He needs locking up whatever his motive. Does anybody want people like that running on " footpaths "?. It could be one of your loved ones.
What I don't get is why he wasn't found. Maybe he realises what he did and has stopped running for fear of being caught. People who know him and realise he has stopped running should get in touch with the police. |
By:
Given the location I'd suggest there's a massive chance he was either a tourist or somebody working short term over here hence him not being caught.

What the jogger did was very bad -- whether or not the woman provoked him in some way and whether or not he was aware of the bus (he knew the road was there, even if traffic was coming from behind him). Are we any closer to answering OP's question of why the three months' delay? |
By:
21 year old arrested ? he looks older than that in the footage?
By:
Chit Chat Detective Agency don't seem to be getting very far with this.
After viewing the video clip several times it seems clear to me that this is a case of 'jogger rage'. If you notice he runs past the man - who is on the pavement bit - with no reaction at all, but the woman who is not on the pavement but in his path, he then re-acts violently, clearly thinking to himself why should he move this is my path....and almost pushes her under a bus. With great pride I can say the successful conclusion of my 4-hour investigation. Clearly in a moment of madness this is pedestrian equivalent of road rage. - Inspector Clouseau |

41 year old man.
By:
He'll have a few quid to defend himself if he lives in Chelsea!
By:
Charge him with attempted murder imho.
By:
Not a terrorist attack by the way because the perp might be mentally ill, but obviously not of Asian heritage.

By:
Police hunting a jogger who appeared to push a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in London have arrested a 41-year-old man.
The Met Police said he was detained at an address in Chelsea on Thursday morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been taken to a south London police station and remains in custody. |
By:
"....might be mentally ill"
don't think you can blame this on his mental health, more his personality, just a nasty angry bloke with a quick violent temper. |
By:
Ken is 41 ...isn't he ?
By:
Top Bird,
She waited for him to run back across the bridge which he did! She tried to talk to him but he ignored her and ran past. How did the Police not think he might run back over the bridge and wait for him? Which is the bigger criminal offence? How useless are the Police? Hope he gets jailed! |
By:
Depends when she called the fuzz !
By:
I wouldn't like to be him if his names gets out! He must be bricking it if he is indeed the culprit.
