Of course I acknowledge that. And you are saying exactly the thing i am saying, that there can be no chance of peace. So israel basically only has two options. Destroy Palestine in one go or just play the peace and war game like they are doing. They have been doing the latter for 50 years. It just doesn't work.
I understand that you are implying that if Israel did destroy Palestine, the whole Arab world would turn on them. But I really dont see how thats possible. We are friends with Saudi Arabia. We are in Iraq. Syria can't do anything in its current state. There is only Iran that can and has threatened Israel. But they have to fly over Iraq or Saudi Arabia to do that and we are friends with one of them, and our military bases are present in another. Which brings me to my origianl point, why haven't we or the americans helped Israel more, when we have not wasted any time in helping the very arab countries that you say want israel destroyed? |

I wasn't implying that at all. All I said was that if the Arab world were ever follish enough to attempt another all-out war with Israel, the result would be the same as the last couple of times they tried it, only worse.

The Middle East seems a complete basket case. I am starting to think all these people deserve each other. It' is hard to say they are just as bad as each other but they do deserve each other!

You can conveniently label me leftie and anti-american. But I do think my question is at least worth asking. America has bombed 14 muslim countries since 1980. It has bombed Iran, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Kuwait, most of them multiple times. Yet it hasn't bombed Palestine, a country(?) that actively engages in war against Israel. Why am I not allowed to ask, why the americans haven't helped the Israelis more actively? |

Outside the arab world, America has bombed Al Qaeda and Taliban in Afghanistan and TTP in Pakistan. Yet it has never bothered doing anything against Hamas, when Hamas is a much smaller force than Al qaeda or Taliban were at their peak. That is my query.

I used to Have Dealings With the Embassy in Kensington Was never the Easiest Place to get into Hank , Having an Isreali Airport stamp in your passport Practically Barred you from entry into a Lot of Arab Countries ,Regular Buisness Men visiting the Middle east would have to Have 2/3 Passports on the Go if they had dealings with Isreal.

There are numerous ARAB nations, only one nation called Israel for the Jews.
It was there thousands of years ago and it's there now. Palestine exists Palestine exists, It's called JORDAN. it was called TRANS JORDAN in 1948. They got 73 percent of the LAND. To intimate that there is no right for the Jews to exist on that land is fallacious. They were on it. Thirty percent of the population(jews) at the time got 27 percent of the land. JORDAN is PALESTINE. not happy with their portion, they want the other piece of the cake. Israel should have stepped up in 1967 and told them to FK off. Take control of their own land. But they walked softly. Muhammad was dead for many years before they took Jerusalem in the 7th century. How Jerusalem could have been the mosque he ascended to heaven from is a mystery? they built the mosque years later. It's spite by Arabs that are keeping the Israelis off the Temple mount. They have MECCA and refuse the Jews their version of MECCA. |

The Israeli's stole plenty of land from the Arabs and are doing it today. When they want to take over Arab land they turn off the electricity and water to the area and hope the Arabs will leave then they claim it for themselves.
I am not surprised the people thrown off their land have a hatred for the Israeli's who have stolen and occupied their lands. At the moment I have little sympathy for either side however. If there is a God he put them together! |

The division of the land into Israel and Palestine is not so unusual , this sort of thing has happened in many parts of the world before and since . Germany itself was divided after the war. And it really only became a unified country about 100 years ago
Italy also unified fairly recently . Czech Republic and Slovakia split into two countries, India and Pakistan had to partition because of religion, Yugoslavia and the Balkans divided partly by religion and politics and nationalism. So the point is to try and manage these changes and make things better, more free and democratic and peaceful for the individuals living in these countries. |

The Palestinians in the Israel side should have left to go to the Jordanian side - PALESTINE. They didn't do it in 1948. The Jews in the Palestine side of Jordan moved.

Israel has not stolen any more land, they lost it when they went to war Zorro First of all Israeli's steal arab land all the time. Like I said before they turn off the electricity and water, build walls around property to restrcit access and over time force the legal occupants off the land and then claim it for themselves. Secondly if you are saying all id fair in love and war then you cannot object to arabs fighting to get their land back by any means neccessary? In effect you support Hamas! |

But they don't want to get on with their lives the arabs are stymieing the Jews. There are arabs on record saying that the Jews can't value their god very much to leave the temple mount to another country to look after. |
