Alan Shearer takes some beating.  How often is he even on?  Master of the bleeding' obvious.

And a right smug twot.

Lineker, by a mile.

Hardly any of the "personalities" on that list would command those wages on the open market, but a few of them do boast some sort of talent or competence, even if you could pull a replacement off the street and train them up to do the job in a week in most cases.

But Lineker ...

Is any of that 5 grand a day coming from Brussels, as reward for his ongoing promotional work for the EU?

Of course, the biggest issue in all this as far as the Beeb is concerned, will not be the amount of money they lavish on these people, but the perceived  inequality to women. The men won't settle for less, so the women will have to get more. License fee up again?

ten percent of court cases deal with the TV license rebels.
Some are sent to jail for watching Bargain Hunt. Justly so?

The guy sent to investigate if they should get a renewal of the license.
decided to capitulate and gave them a renewal, Then he was destroyed by
a sex scandal? Not before the decision but after it?

The Government needs to make it a subscription service like every other tv
station. That way you can watch freeview and Dvd's without some part time
perv showing up at your door asking if you can justify watching the box.

Here's another puzzling aspect to all of this, which makes no sense.

I've just been looking at the Radio schedules, and Radio 2's Chris Evans (over £2 million per annum) is on at the same time as the 'Today' programme, where The Guardian lists these salaries :

John Humphrys – £600k to £649k

Nick Robinson – £250k to £299k

Evan Davis – £250k to £299k

Mishal Husain – £200k to £250k

Justin Webb – £150k to £199k

How on earth can it be sensible to put your biggest radio expenditure people up against each other at the same time?

All the women will have to get more now to achieve parity with male presenters,,they will be smiling  from  ear to ear, only losers will be licence payers. Alex Jones and Claudia winkleman will soon be on a million  a year. The downside  of equality

Almost worth watching the 10 o'clock news tonight to see Huw Edwards headlining his own salary... although I suspect the BBC will lead with the bringing forward of the state pension age for many... another fine example of our government attempting to 'bury bad news' with the furore over the BBC's salaries.

This country is pretty rancid all round and getting steadily worse. Most of the usual suspects belong to the "Do as I say, not as I do" brigade, but their power to persuade us to take immigrants into our homes and donate to charity will be somewhat reduced now we know what they earn; and bear in mind there's probably a whole lot of tax avoidance/evasion going on here as well...

I was annoyed about this before I watched the 10pm news, now I've even more angry!

Rather than talking about whether an autocue reader like Huw or the rest of them like Lineker or Vine are earning far too much (they are), they just went on and on in full on BBC snowflake "right on" mode blabbing on about "diversity" and gender pay gaps.

So is the plan to solve the gap between these grossly overpaid individuals to give undeserved pay increases to women and minorities, regardless of talent level, to even the cash grab up? Who deserves it? I suppose for the jealous BBC types down the ladder on more normal levels of money, demanding everyone gets more money makes sense, as they seek to stick their nose into the license payers wallets!
