andrew Neil getting screwed

Neil,Dimbleby and no doubt others are probably not on because they are not paid directly by the BBC.

andrew Neil getting screwed
Absolutely, one of the best interviewers around and he's getting around half of what they pay stroke victim Andrew Marr who is poor to say the least. And much less than many other presenters. Which proves what I learned years ago that to get on you have to go with the flow. Don't be right but be agreeable with your boss. If all around you are wrong and you know it, simply join them and you'll get on fine. To get on in the BBC you have to go with the flow, and the flow is to the left. |

Good socialists, one and all. I assume you're being facetious ? |
By:
The obvious thing that stands out a mile is that these ''entertainers'' because that's all that most of them are, receive far more than they're worth simply because the BBC is awash with money due to the license fee.
By:
Cut those amounts by 50% across the board and let them find as good or better pay elsewhere.
By:
Cut those amounts by 50% across the board and then let them take the reduced money or find better paid work elsewhere.
BBC oblivious to the outrage and more concerned about the lack of women and minorities. |

Cut the payments across the board by 50% and let the luvvies take the reduced offering or try and find better paid work elsewhere.
BBC seem oblivious to the general outrage and talking about lack of women and minorities. |
By:
WTF is wrong with the board?
By:
And all those figures above are basic salaries - the bonuses and expenses are also eye- watering. You should see what the BBC spend on sending hundreds of people to a sport event or (supposedly) newsworthy story. It's five star all the way and let the licence payer pick up the tab.
By:
Are the following on the list?
Mary Berry Sue Barker Hazel Irvine Dara O' Briain Michael McIntyre John Bishop John Torode Gregg Wallace Maybe they're further examples of those who work for independent production companiers and therefore not paid directly by the BBC? |

what about at the races salaries
By:
Shearer's only on about £8k a week. If he was 25 would be on £400k these days.
By:
shearer 8k a week, has he ever told us anything we didnt know already?
By:
The trouble is if they cut him down to £1k a week,Sky would offer him more. I suspect their wage bill would be even more interesting but of course we will never know.

Agents are the reason these people, and footballers, are overpaid. A scourge.

Indeed, but the employer can always say NO. I would estimate that the vast majority of the names on this Hall of Shame would gladly still do the job for half the current salary. |
By:
Wonder if Evans actually thinks he's worth that amount.
By:
Probably, I think he genuinely thinks he's funny.
By:
god knows how much he was on before he ****** up the car programme.

a lot of these salaries is not new is it? they were reporting last year fairly accurately http://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/tv/heres-how-much-top-stars-11368967

Chris Evans I would not pay the in washers there's two ****s at the bbc and he is both of them
By:
How much would have some of the old stars of yesteryear have been paid these days I wonder?
Charlie Cairoli and the 'Right Charlie' crew probably all on a minimum £10 million. Dougal out of 'Magic Roundabout' £15 million. Someone like Lady Isobel Barnett from 'What's My LIne' would probably be a £100 million asset these days, like the footballer Bale. A real shame Lady Isobel was on the lifting game and topped herself after that courtroom humiliation. I will say though in her defence that those 20p cans of tuna in the shops would surely tempt even the most honest member of the peerage to theft. Hardest game in the world the shoplifting, hardest game in the world. |
