The original 24 season 1-5 were simply brilliant, never thought anything would come close till Breaking Bad, Season 1 is a slow builder...Season 2 etc the twists and turns so influential on the shows that followed.

Not watched ever series but I though Person of Interest and Burn Notice were very good from what I have watched as well.

My favourites are Sopranos, the Shield, 24, the wire, Breaking Bad and Sharpe. Dexter and Sons of Anarchy were up there at one time but Dexter got stupid towards the end and SOA got boring so never even finished last series. Person of Interest and Burn Notice just below them.

The first season of Underbelly was great as well. Next few season were decent but not as good. I was hooked on Prison Break in 1st season and thought it was brilliant but gave up on the second season after about 5 episodes as it was just boring drawn out carp.

Any series you guys can recommend? I've started the wire twice but i just cant get past the first episode(will give it another try). I would love a recommendation on the lines of Narcos, Fargo, Prison Break, BB, Dexter, Better call saul etc. And NOT something like GOT, heroes or other hocus pocus stuff. Thanks

having jim broadbent in it is a bit of a mistake; he makes the very bad acting (Sophie Turner) and ordinary acting (Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke) look even worse.

I enjoy it, but it's lost a lot since the series was forced to part company with the books. There is too much telling, and not enough showing now, too many plot-holes and inconsistencies ( e.g how did Sansa and Theon survive the huge drop from the castle ramparts without water or a conveniently parked haywain to land in? Where did the vicious blood hounds disappear to when they were rescued by Brienne and Pod? Where did Euron find enough trees to cut down to build the "biggest fleet that Westeros has ever seen", on a "bunch of barren, god-forsaken, rocks covered in nothing but birdsh!t"? Why does Euron go mincing around, camping it u with a stupid grin on his face, talking nothing but shyte?) The Euron character is a joke. A rare piece of mis-casting on an otherwise well-executed show. the last 2 seies have been disappointingly hurried, and the next 2 look as though they are becoming too dumbed-down and soap-like. that said, it's still a lot better than anything on terrestrial Telly.

Thought the first scene was good even though it was obvious what he was going to do but the twist would have caught everyone out.

watch everything for free on fmovies, there are different links for fmovies, but i only watch the versions with perfect pictures and sound. you have to checkout the different links sometimes to find the perfect copies, wouldn't advise downloading, just streaming only. goodluck

DT

If you haven't seen Deadwood I suggest you give it a go. No hocus pocus. Allegedly true characters in this show. Dead Mans Hand? Aces over Eights? Plenty of time given to character development and yopu even get to love some pretty ugly unloveable characters.

Oh and then there's always this

An example of how business is conducted in Deadwood. I wonder how long Prseidnet Chump would have lasted there!

I like the second clip. Will watch it.

This reminds me of how i started watching breaking bad. Everyone was on about this school chemistry teacher selling drugs and I was like wtf who'd even want to see something like that. Then I saw the clip on youtube where he says something like this: '...so let me clue you in. I am not in danger Skyler I am The Danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that'd be me? No. I am the one who knocks!'. One of my favorite dialogues and what convinced me to start watching.

started watching Vikings season 4 part 2 today, watched the last episode first, they must of put the episode in the wrong order, happens sometimes, other times just begins with the last episode, unless you double check it first.

dont rwad the thread redbag!

I watched it this morning!

Well I never would have thought what happened.

On the subject of one of the cast growing a pair it would appear he has worked out that perhpas he doesn't need to after all!

Worse than I thought. Episode 2 was the weakest Episode of all the 7 series, so far. The 1st scene was more "Marvel comics" than "War of the Roses". Predictably enough the writing and dialogue are inferior to the original source material, but the acting seesm to be suffering too. The same actors that made such a good job of the earlier series seem to be uncomfortable with the facile, contrived and clunky material they have to work with now. It's still enjoyable, but the spoon-feeding and hurried plot resolution are making it much less satifying to watch.

I still enjoy GoT but it is suffering from time.

Must be difficult to be so fresh and wow peeps. The plot was a little tired. I thought the script was ok given the circumstances.

Anyone care to explain wtf Ripper Street was about last night?
