The trouble with JC is he said he would not use them. That's music to the ears of any enemy now and in the years ahead.

Utter balls. So the only reason we haven't been bombed is because we might bomb them back? Just how many countries in the world don't have nuclear weapons. And how many of them have been attacked?

PorP quite right.
It IS the abuse of the same firms who escape tax, who can afford to squeeze out opposition, of zero-hours contracts as company policy.
The way wages are seen as a necessary evil and not a way of rewarding those who make the money for them.

That's not what I said PP. It's a deterent. We say we will use them but we don't.

See Pakistan and India. As for conparing us with non nuclear countries that's a total misunderstanding of our role in world politics.

Plod and the armed forces play a similar role in deterring crime. Do we scrap the Old Bill and negotiate with criminals or do we threaten them with chase, capture and punishment?

Please get real.

You can't compare us and N Korea/Iran to Pakistan and India.

How long have we had nuclear weapons for? 50 years or so? How many nuclear attacks have non-nuclear armed countries suffered in that time compared to the likes of us who can send another one back?

Just how do the likes of Canada, Italy, Germany etc possibly hope to defend themselves if they don't have the bomb do you think?

If we were to abandon Trident would Iran suddenly say "right, now we can bomb them"?

It's absolute nonsense.

I can't get my head around the nuclear argument.
Do people honestly think that an aggressor would chance their arm with a nuclear country simply because they once heard a sound bite that said they wouldn't use em?

So they play high risk poker risking it all on the comment of a bloody politician?
Get real, what happens when they receive a nuke anyway in response?
They gunna turn around and say 'but he said he wouldnt'?
