In case this is your first day listening to a politicians, and it appears to be the case, when they want to leave doors open, they say things like "we are not looking to". This is probably the favourite phrase of a politicians who wants to push opinion one way but not rule out doing the very thing they are "not looking to do". It's textbook. HTH.

I happily worked zero hour contracts for years. Most of the people who complain about them are guardian reading or trade union idiots, as usual taking offence for other people. Righteous posturing from snowlakes.

Zero hours was another poor planted question.
Wouldn't it be amazing to discover that students managed to get by with part time jobs before zero hours contracts. Really, it happened. The issue with zero hours is the utter abuse of them. My firm uses them but we do it properly. Again, it's effectively a part time contract. Problem is when you get the sheer exploitation of staff as we've seen happen more and more. This is why you can't have nice things etc. If corporations can't be trusted to do it properly and abuse the law then the government needs to step in and correct it. |

OK - To qualify, none of my mates/family are on them, but I speak to unhappy people who are, delivery drivers, warehouse pickers/packers.
They aren't happy. Still, lets turn this into a New York soap type courtroom, eh? Injera, the sort of nutters who would use nukes couldn't give a fig about their own or any other nation's people. Our possession of them wouldn't make them any less nutters. |
